Grand America Hotel, Salt Lake City

Used Valet Parking and They damaged a custom rim on my vehicle and will not take care of it

This was for a business trip for my husband who was busy in meetings all day, but plenty for me to do and see while he was in luxurious settings for his meetings those 4 days. Easy cab acess to and from the airport. The staff went out of their way to insure our comfort and provide for our needs. The porters were helpful, rooms clean, neat, and turndown service was a surprise. Had not had that since the Hyatt Regency in Honolulu. Rooms are spacious and we had a surprise: a stocked goodie cabinet and fridge was wonderful and very handy. Room service, even late at night was great. Food was delicious whether room service, in the lounge, the high tea, or in the restaurant. Charming shops with a very helpful gentleman in the men's shop who went out of his way. The news stand and ladies boutique was fun to browse. Spa was great and comfortable. Enjoyed checking out the antiques and furnishings all over the entire hotel. Great luxury and style through out the hotel from the moment you walk in. The staff even printed out our boarding passes for our return flight to San Diego. The only thing we didn't like was having to leave to go home. We wanted to stay longer. Can't wait to return to SLC to stay at the Grand America again, for sure.

For the most part this hotel is top notch. I was disappointed that it cost $10.00 to sit in the steam room or walk on a tread mill. This is a per day cost on top of the other high costs. Very disappointing. If included in the room rate, this would have been seamless and a non-issue. Adding costs upon high costs adds insult to injury, and gives the perception of nickel and diming customers. ....otherwise a nice place. Garden Cafe food at lunch is outstanding!!! Rooms are spacious and facilities are beautiful.

An absolutely dynamic hotel, amazing service from an amazing staff. The only thing that is uncomfortable is the price. However as soon as you walk into your spacious room and out onto the balcony, you soon forget the price. This place has tons of conference space and amazing banquet facilities. There are few hotels out there that rival this one. It is Five Diamonds , and rightfully so.

This is truly a world class hotel. The sunday bruch is probably the best in the country. It is an event, to say the least.

The front desk did not check me in properly. They called late at night, woke me up, and insisted it was "Urgent" that I come to the front desk to re-check in. When I said I would deal with it in the morning they were quite rude. When I came down the next day they continued to be rude.

Concierge was very helpful--helped us find discount ski rentals and ski tickets. Room service was excellent. High speed interconnect available, but it was not wireless.

One thing about this place is that the facility is breathtaking. It is obvious that great care and attention to detail were put into the building. However, if you go there for the service, you will be disappointed. I had to wait 45 minutes for my bags to be delivered to my room, and when I called to the bell desk for my bags, it was as if it was not a priority. The location is great, located right down town and just steps away from the TRAX light rail system, makes getting around very easy. The rooms are very nice and very spacious, it makes it easy to relax and get away from it all. The people are nice, but if you are looking exceptional service (as a luxury hotel should provide) you will be gravely disappointed. I will not be going back any time soon.

This place is amazing. The bathroom alone made me feel like a queen. I enjoyed every aspect of it! The dessert buffet was to die for!
