Couldn't have asked for a better time!

I along with my 3 buddies were booked a room at the Weston location through a time share marketing company for a discounted price based on the promise of going to the time share tour. By reading these reviews I came to realize that just the "b" side would not be a good fit for myself and 3 buddies (thank goodness for these hotel reviews!) When I got to the welcome center all the staff were very nice and welcoming. When I got my paperwork, I realized that I had received the "B" side of the condo. I asked if there was anyway to switch to the "A" side and not only was I given the A side but was also given the B side by the manager. From here on out everything I experienced at the resort was awesome. The rooms were very nice. The Flamingo I and II buildings are reserved for the guests that are touring the buildings and were not as updated as the ones owned by the time share holders which is understandable if you understand the concept. We still had a (old school) big screen tv, jacuzzi tub and a double headed shower (in "A" side only).
As I said earlier my discounted room was based on going to the time share tour (sales pitch). This tour, although a little inconvenient if you take advantage of the later (4 a.m. or later) closing times, was not as bad as the reviews I have read on this site pryer to the vacation. My tour guide was an older gentleman that was very nice and knowledgeable about the properties owned by Vacation Village and other properties owned by RCI as he was a proud owner of 3 himself. He said he was paid a salary so whether or not I bought a timeshare didnt affect his payday and it showed even when I declined to buy (came down to an awesome deal though!).
One negative thing I will say is if you book a one bedroom condo, make sure you request that they give you the "A" side even if you have to pay more if you are traveling with more than your spouse and 2 children max (young). The "B" side alone will leave you disappointed if you are looking for a lot of room. There is only a window in the "B" side and its at least 4 ft. high so if you have small children they will not be able to see out by themselves.
The last thing I will say is that if you are flying in without a vehicle, rent one! Ft. Lauderdale beach is a little less than 30 mins and a little more than 30 mins away without traffic and the resort does not supply a shuttle. A cab ride to the Hollywood casinos is $45 with tip one way and Ft. Lauderdale is more than that.
My over all experience was awesome. I will recommend this resort to my friends and will definitely come here again myself, probably annually!
* People that are posting these ridiculously negative reviews are either expecting way too much for the money spent or had a fluke experience that does not happen very often according to the ratio of people this resort accommodates. I consider myself to be very picky and this place left little room for "picking."
