unsatisfied
Hello my name is, and my family had reservations for 9/25/10 - 9/26/10. We were not very satisfied with our stay. First of all usually when you go someplace normally the protocol is to be greeted with a warm welcome, when I arrived at the front counter I stood there for a little bit there was no one at the front desk and then she walked up to the desk and asked can I help you, so I told her I had a reservation she asked for my name and at that point it was as if I was bothering her like I had interrupted something. So I gave her my name and she printed up the paper and handed it to me and told me to initial here and sign here, so I started to read to make sure everything was correct with my reservation and she told me I did not have to read that it had nothing to do with anything because it was a 3rd party reservation so I continued to sign and she handed me the key and said nothing else. So I guess my complaint here would be for customer service or shall I say good customer service, normally I thought- is when you walk into a place and feel welcomed and they greet you with a hello how are you doing today and maybe be a little more friendlier and have a little conversation to make the customer feel important and you are glad they chose your place to stay, and then when they hand you the keys to your room give some direction as to how to get to your room and the location, she just made you feel like you are bothering her.
We continued to go to our room it was very nice the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. We changed to go down to the pool, when we walked into the pool area there was no-one in the pool area and the chairs were all scattered around and there were towels all over the floor areas and hanging on chairs and atop tables. There were no clean towels so I told my husband I would go to front desk to get some. I went to front desk and no-one is there so I waited and she came up, it was the same lady that checked us in, so I immediately said I needed some towels for the pool and she said there are no towels in there and I told her no and she told me that it would be a minute that they were just out of the dryer and they were not folded and she walked to the back, I tell you it was like it just bothered her to do anything she walked so slow like she just did not want to be there and it took a minute and she brought up the towels but she went to the door to the side of the front desk and stood there with unfolded towels and I was at the desk and she said here and just held her arm out I stood there for a minute first of all amazed that they were not folded and her just standing there with such attitude. I asked her if she could bring them to the front desk that I need a pen, and she said here (for me to grab the towels) and she walked around and gave me a pen and I asked her name she stood there for a min and then said and I said your last name and she just stared at me and then walked away leaving me standing there with my mouth to the floor and I stood there waiting to see if she would come back and finally she did with the phone in her hand and she said my manager said I do not have to give my information and I asked if I could talk to him . Again back to Customer Service- good customer service would strike up a quick conversation and ask how everything is if the kids are having fun you know just small talk makes a difference.
Now to the morning, we got up early so we would be able to enjoy the breakfast the hotel was serving. We went down to the room and walked in had to find a table big enough to seat all 5 of us and we had to take a dirty table there was only two other people in there all the tables were dirty and there were no tongs for the bread and you had to share tongs for the bacon/sausage and the cinnamon rolls. There was no coffee and for a coffee drinker this is a BIG deal. Maybe my expectations are way to high but I would think for businesses to want to be able to go above and beyond
