Coming back with the family soon!

I was there with friends for an event and loved the resort. The staff, service, food all exceeded expectations. I came back from the trip telling my wife that we have to bring the kids and enjoy a long weekend here this summer. The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had. The concierge desk staff were amazing! I cannot wait to show the family all the activities and fun here are RCL!

A Treat

My husband took me for a surprise getaway. I had never heard of Rough Creek Lodge, but someone from his office recommended it. The room was comfortable and clean, the food was wonderful, and the friendliness and courtesy of the staff really made me feel pampered. I wouldn't mind moving in permanantly if we could afford it!

Disappointing

Based on their website, one would expect Rough Creek Lodge to be a world class resort. My experience was anything but world class. The room was not clean. The windows looking out to the lake were filthy. The customer service was shocking and the staff was very unprofessional. We had numerous issues with the billing. I tried to contact the manager a few times to tell him about my stay there and he never bothered following up. The location of the resort is good if you enjoy the Texas Hill Country (which I do). The only saving grace was the food. For the price I was expecting a much higher level of service.
