Microtel Inn Pensacola, Pensacola

The person at the front desk was very nice and gave me another card key after locking the first two in the room within 5 minutes of being there with no problem. The room was nice and clean. No stains anywhere, the bed was made, the mini fridge was clean - the only complaint was the room smelled like someone smoked in it. The hotel staff can't be blamed for that though, it is a non-smoking hotel, but some people will do it anyways. Overall a very good stay in a nice place.

UNBELIEVABLY BAD. DIRTY, BUG INFESTED, CRACKED WALLS, WI-FI DOESN'T WORK, MOLDY AC VENTS, NO SHAMPOO, FILTHY COUCH, BROKEN FURNITURE. Suite was poorly equipped, continental breakfast is just bagels and cereal and ends at 9 AM. If you're on a business trip, DON'T stay here. "Free" wi-fi barely works and can take up to 4 hours just to view one website. Connection works intermittently for only a few seconds at a time. We read all of the negative reviews and still booked, figuring that the standards would be higher if we got a suite, and also thought that the reviews might be exaggerated. We were totally wrong, this hotel is exactly as the reviews describe. Awful, awful, awful. First room we were given had a broken AC which wouldn't turn off, and we were switched to a new room. Both rooms were in similar conditions, dirty and bug infested. Couldn't leave a can of coke or a coffee cup out because the room was infested with ants. Strange bugs in the bathtub. Management obviously cuts corners wherever they can, providing the absolute bare minimum and neglecting to take proper care of the hotel. Not up to the standards of other Microtels and absolutely THE WORST HOTEL we've EVER seen in this price range. Can't say enough negative things about this place, it's really that bad.
