Stay Somewhere Else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/30/07
This is just a very basic place to stay; which was fine for our situation. Good selection for a continental breakfast, very small rooms, nice location. However, when we went to check out, they REFUSED to acknowledge our Travelocity pricing that we received w/ our reservation! The desk clerk would not even look at my copy of the Travelocity reservation. She insisted that we had made our reservation via their main res # and are will be charged that particular rate. And talking w/ the manager later was no help. He kept yelling at me, saying I would not listen to his staff. Excuse me!! Since when is the customer supposed to just do as they are told and pay the higher price?! As stupid as that comment sounds, that is what my experience was like. He apparently thought I was from Idaho and he also said "We are not from Idaho, we know how to do our math here"!! He also approached my daughter (a minor) after we had left (she was there via bus w/ her school team) to come into his office and address "how he does the billing"!! Of course, thank God, she has a good head on her shoulders. What was the point of this?? I'm sure I am not the first person they encountered that they thought they could over charge. After all the yelling and rude comments from this establishment, my charges went from $228 to $206 (the original amount I had received from Travelocity)!! I would not recommend staying here. There are plenty of other places to stay in this lovely town.
