Love it! The best in OKC
By fl, 07/09/09
I ahve stayed at all the major hotels in downtown OKC over the past few years. I don't know what has happened at the Renaissance but it it BY FAR the best hotel in downtown OKC. The staff is truly amazing. I know for sure you will not find a better staff. I ate in the hotel Restuarant 10 North Grille on several occasions and each meals was better than than the next. Maybe the best meals I have eaten in a long time, and for sure the best in OKC. I highly reccomend this hotel (and restaurant)

DO NOT PAY CASH!!!
By Carolyn, 03/10/09
Do not pay cash for your room service at this hotel! If you must, GET A RECEIPT! Do not let the staff tell you that they cannot give you a copy of the receipt because they need it to close out. They are lying. They will tell you that a copy of the receipt can be provided at checkout, but when the time comes, no one can find any record. I am out over $100 from these scam artists because I could not turn in receipts for my expenses. Management had no suggestions, did not offer me any type of service for my loss, and showed frank disrespect, elluding to the idea that I was making the whole thing up! I have sent a letter to the parent company after being denied my request to speak to someone higher in management. The staff here may be polite, but they are theives and COMPLETELY INCOMPETANT!

Going Back in Oct to Renaissance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/08
My husband and I were in Ok City just for a relaxing trip. We rode the train from Fort Worth...the station is close enough to walk to the hotel....but still the hotel was quiet at night...cannot hear the trains if any came by. The check-in people along with the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has just been remodeled inside and is perfectly clean and beautiful. There is a starbucks inside the hotel if anyone one needs a starbucks fix. Also there is a very nice restaurant. We were there 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Within walking distance to Bricktown with lots of eating places....the trolley comes right by the hotel and takes you all over downtown...also to the Alfred P. Murray Memorial Building that was bombed in 1995. This is a must to see...plan a lot of time to visit. It is very well planned. We will visit again. Going back in October with my daughter-in-law to do Christmas shopping. We will be going to An Affair of the Heart which is 7 buildings of gift items. Visit the Capitol.......it too is great. Too much to see.

Love the champagne & strawberries!
By KRISTY FOX, 03/15/08
I've stayed at this hotel three times in the past year and I'm never disappointed. I've used the valet parking and they're efficient & friendly. I've had breakfast and dinner for 'room service' and they never fail to please! Also, you can walk to the FORD center from here, which makes it extremely convenient.

Beautiful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/07
Stayed at this hotel this past weekend while visiting my brother (he's the sous chef at the hotel) The hotel is beautiful! The rooms were very nice and clean, I have never slept on a more comfortable bed! The staff is super friendly and ready to serve. It's a great location, plenty to see and do. Lots to see within walking distance but can rent a car for a reasonable price too (we did). A great hotel that I would most certainly stay at again, and recommend!

Not That Great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/08/07
For this place to be rated so highly I was disapointed. Here's my list of pro's/cons: Pro's: Location, friendly staff Con's: Internet is $12.95 a night, no microwave in room, no usable refridgerator in the room (you have to call down to the front desk to have them unlock your fridge?), homeless people are abundant and sleep on the sidewalks surrounding the hotel, $$ for everything. Also, while I was there a conference decided to have a karaoke night in the hotel bar. This event finally wrapped up at 2:00 a.m. on a weekday night and could be heard loudly throughout the hotel. I was on the 12th floor and it bothered me so much I tried calling the front desk (they never answered??).

Excellent hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/06
My current employer booked a room for me at the Renaissance OKC when I flew in for my job interview last year. I was unsure what I'd find in OKC, but this hotel was an oasis on the plains. The hotel is very nice, with good service and is quite clean and well maintained. The lobby has a large atrium and surrounding it are the restaurant, bar, a communal area and the gift shop. It has a glass elevator that overlooks the atrium. My room was quite nice with excellent amenities and a very comfortable king size bed. What really stood out to me in addition to the bed, was the large bathroom. The bathroom was well appointed with luxurious towels. The decor was a soothing dark marble facade. Nice soaps, coffee and tea too, along with plush towels. The room was what I needed although I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked. The hotel is the nicest in downtown OKC and is close to Bricktown and the OKC memorial. It is handy to I-40 and I-35 although you have to navigate the one way streets downtown. The price is high, but if you want a luxurious stay, this is your place in OKC.

Not a real 4 diamond, 5 star hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/06
To the average Oklahoma folk, this hotel might be great. However, for those of us that have stayed at real 4 diamond resorts (Ritz-Carlton, Bellagio, Hotel du Pont), the Renaissance looks more like a Holiday Inn. Staff was okay, housekeeping did not arrive until 5:30 PM, the following morning housekeeping was very loud outside our door and the quality is not 5 star. Yes, it is most likely the best hotel in OKC, but it is NOT a 4 diamond resort. The food was very good and the restaurant staff was friendly.
