Disappointing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/29/11
Liked 3 beds in 1 room, close to Worlds and Oceans of Fun. Dislike: Card charged for both nights of stay at 4PM before we arrived at 5PM, told this is policy. Other room we'd reserved for same time frame not charged until 6/23, so much for policy. Litter in hallways for hours. Not sure if guest or housekeeper finally picked it up. Shower above our room leaked into our bathroom floor, could move to 2 bedroom room (we needed the 3). Same room not cleaned the first day of our stay, we noticed this at noon, were told housekeeping left. Room wouldn't be clean but we could get more towels. Towels were apparently thrown in and landed in sink! In the other room, noted big handprint on mirror when we arrived . Stayed 2 days and it was still there when we left. Cleaning left much to be desired.

We will NEVER stay here again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/6/11
We will never stay here again. The closet door would not close when you put clothing in it. You could not open the bathroom door without lifting the toilet lid. Both of these were close so it made it difficult to get in the bathroom. You had to step between the toilet and the counter to shut the door. It was just unhandy! My husband had a headache from the chlorine smell at the pool. At breakfast the waffle maker tore up both days we were there. They finally put an out of order sign up. The toaster wouldn't work and my husband asked if they could fix it. They did fix the toaster. The breakers kept throwing with everything in the breakfast area going. When we told the girl at the front desk on checkout about everything I've posted. The girl said no one had complained about this before. She wrote everything down and said she would have someone look into the problems. She also said the company knew about the breaker problem but that Choice wanted a certain design so it would stay that way. She couldn't print our receipt and said it would be mailed or e-mailed. My family and I stay at Comfort Inns quite a bit. This was not a good experience. Even my 7 year old said the hotel was horrible! If you stay here don't stay in room 114!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEVER STAY HERE!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/11
This place has very unfriendly, lazy staff. Hot tub smells like urine, I told the manager first time we were there, it was like that the next time too. The door at the end of the hallway has been broken for several months so you have to walk around the hotel to get in. Our shower didn't have hot water and when we left I told the fat, lazy clerk and she got hostile and hateful with me. We stayed there twice but will never stay there again! NEVER!!

Very dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/27/10
our room smelled like urine and like it used to be a smoking room turned non-smoking, when you sat on the toilet the view of blood and snot was all over the walls under the sink, the corner of the bathroom behind the door was filled with goo and body hair....it truly was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. I could go on but no need to, honestly you are better off sleeping in a parking lot it would be cleaner.

Horrible and MOLDY!!
By Lindy, 9/20/10
Don't let the good location suck you in. This place is very unkept. When we checked in and got to our room it smelled like mold really bad. Later that night we figured out why. When it began to rain, water poured right through the window and ruined a bunch of our belongings. When I got in the shower, the wall was covered with MOLD. The whole hotel is very unkept and dirty. There are stains on all the hall carpet and don't even think about going barefoot, your feet will stick to the carpet. They say that small dogs are allowed, however there was one family that had 4 dogs and one was a huge rotwiller that insisted on sniffing us everytime we walked by. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke and mold. The staff is very, very rude. I told them our belongings had been damaged by rain pouring in the window and they said it wasn't their fault, not even a sorry. Do yourself a favor and stay at one of the other hotels in just up the hill. It's not worth saving a couple of dollars.

RUDE Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/12/10
The staff there are so rude. The general manager had his daughter working there and they both are rude, inconsiderate, SOB's. I wwill never refer anyone to that hotel. If you have a large vehicle you will NOT be able to park it in there parking lot, and if you do they will call the police to have it towed off.

Not worth the price
By Sarah, 8/12/10
The pool, as has been mentioned, is very small; probably 15x30 max. It also has way too much chlorine. The hot tub/spa was WAY too hot, I realize it's supposed to be hot, but this was dangerously so. Also, the jets were not very functional. The room was clean and comfortable, but the bedside lights were both burned out and the knobs on the A/C unit were broken. Also, water pressure was pretty low in the shower. My interaction with staff was typical, but not exemplary. We didn't eat the breakfast. Overall, the place just needs some "spit and polish". They just need to take care of the little things that are starting to pile up. Also, if any of those hotels along that stretch had any sense, they would get together and run a WOF/OOF shuttle and save their guests $10 in parking. All in all, I probably wouldn't stay their again. I would give one of the other hotels nearby a try.

I did not like it
By cheerleader2015, 5/1/10
My band had a compeition at World's of Fun. The boosters chose this hotel because it was very close to Worlds of Fun. My room was very dirty. There was dirt in the bathtub. The other rooms that my friends were staying in smelled really bad. The pool had to much chlorine and wasnt big enough. The staff was very rude. One of the door handles broke and people from my school had to fix it because the staff was to lazy too do themselves. The only reason I had fun was because another school stayed at this same hotel and there was a lot of hot guys. Overall this hotel wasn't worth it. I would recommend the hotel right beside this one.

Rude Staff
By needs, 8/27/09
Hotel was ok physically but very very rude staff. Left our room early in morning and never cleaned. Front desk people were very rude about it and said when we got back that night that they SUPPOSED they could get us clean towels, etc. They said they checked our room 3 times in morning and 'do not disturb' sign was out. We left at 10:00 and when wanted to see the times they checked the room, we were told they don't record the times. Cleaning staff leaves at 12:30 so they didn't have time. If checkout time is 11:00, does that mean they won't cleant the room then for the next guest??????? Ended up calling the corporate HQ of choice hotels and they were very apologetic even after I told them I lost my temper at front desk as well. I told them, and they agreed, that all that would have been needed from front desk is an apology instead of them becoming defensive and situation would have been resolved. We ended up getting a free night stay at Choice Hotel and was told they would be contacting this Comfort Inn to do some 'training'. If you want to stay at a hotel where you are treated rudely by front staff, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, choose another hotel.

Worst hotel in the area
By statman, 8/11/09
This place was terrible. We have been to Worlds of Fun and stayed in various hotels near the park. This place was the worst. It was dirty, their internet did not work, the hot tub smelled like pee, and the staff was rude. Particularly the chamber maid that "cleaned" our room. She actually stood there and argued with my wife! I guess because they are so close to the park and are allways full, they do not need to worry about pleasing the guest. Do you and your family a favor, pay the few extra dollars at night and stay at the Fairfield hotel next door. Is much nicer and CLEAN!
