Overpriced / Disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/07
My wife and I discovered this place on the internet and booked a cabin for 3 nights. We were disappointed from the moment we drove onto the property – it appeared unkempt and untidy with lots of overgrowth and weeds around the cabins and around the property. Several of the cabins were in such disrepair that doors and siding were missing and you could see into some where junk was being stored. Hoses were left stretched out across the lawn where guests were to walk to their cabins. The path around the property had torn fabric weed covering showing through the gravel. Lights meant to illuminate the footpath at night were broken or lying on the ground or had been knocked sideways and not righted. Our cabin had a leaky kitchen faucet which dripped the entire time of our stay. The umbrella on the patio was rusted and would not go/stay up. The gas grill, we were told upon arrival, did not heat evenly. The kitchen stove knobs were not clean, nor were several pots and casserole dishes. The blanket on our bed had several holes in it. A curtain on one of the windows was held up by two tiny nails and whenever the wind blew, the curtain fell down. This was not a $150 / night cabin. We would not return nor recommend this place to others.
