Great Wolf Lodge, Wisconsin Dells

We have 6 year old twins and a 4 year old who were constantly entertained. The front desk and cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was clean and spacious. We loved the gas fireplace and the balcony in our room. The kids loved all of the rides and play areas at the indoor water park where they played for hours. They also loved MagicQuest and the arcade rom. We arer already planning our next vacation there, again, and also talking about buying a condo.

The Great Wolf Lodge is a decent place to take family and friends when you need a mini vacation. We had a great time in the water park area, which offered more things to do than your average hotel. Though I don’t agree with their concept of a lazy river… It was more like a lazy stream that kids were splashing in. The rooms had been cleaned just prior to our arrival, in fact the cleaning lady had just walked out of the room and shut the door while we were strolling up, yet there were a few toys under the bed from a previous occupant, as well as a toy dart right next to the hot tub. It was in open sight and I still wonder how they could have missed it. Clearly the cleaning could use some training. Everything appeared clean otherwise, but one can only wonder. I was just happy that the bed was comfortable. The employees of the hotel were a force of nature. One woman behind the desk was very nice and very understanding of our “newness” to the hotel. She was sure to take extra time to get us were we needed to go and was even wonderful about returning my daughters shoe. On the other hand another woman that was behind the desk later that evening was in need of a lesson in manners. Rude isn’t the right term, but other words shouldn’t be used here for families to read. Now, we have a few smokers in our family and I don’t need to tell you that laws have prohibited smoking in hotel rooms in Wisconsin. Balcony and patio areas are the places to go when in need of the smoky treat. We had followed these rules to the bitter end, yet when we had gotten back from our adventures in the water area, we were welcomed by a friendly yet warning letter about smoking in the room. We figure the smoke had drifted in while we had the patio door open, but apparently even the slightest smell of cigarettes and they freak out, so rest assured, if you are not a smoker, you will be safe from the cancer sticks.

We paid a LOT of money to stay here, but It was SO worth it! First of all, the Indoor waterpark was so clean it was literally sparkling! The massive water playground has many cool effects and 2 bodyslides! And the 2 regular slides outside weren't bad either! It wasn't chlorine that cleaned the pool but it was some sort of natural sediment! The water was basically ultra-sterilized fresh water The Jacuzzi was extremley warm and comfortable. The regular pool water was like bath water it was so nice! The room was absolutley gorgeous! We had a balcony and 2 massive beds! The shower was also very clean too! The hotel staff was extremley nice and very sociable! There were 2 resturants there which served excellent food! And the room service was also very good! I definetly miss GWL and I want to go back!!!

What a great family get away! We went for my daughters 8th birthday and ordered the birthday package. Our door was decorated with a poster, and inside was a gift bag full of goodies including a T-Shirt and stuffed animal. We went to the Scooops Kids Spa for Pedicures and the girls were treated like royalty - tiara's, bathrobes, ice cream...and they got to keep it all, including the nail polish. The water parks are great - they have three different areas inside and a big park outside as well (the outdoor park wasn't open yet). We spent an hour in the arcade, then several hours playing the Wizard game "MagiQuest" which is attached to the hotel. We had pizza, pop and birthday cake delivered to our room, then had the breakfast buffet in the morning - all you can eat with a great selection of fruit, baked goods, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, you name it. it was expensive - we could have spent 3 or 4 days somewhere else for what we paid for one night here - BUT, adding the Spa and the birthday package doubled the cost of our stay and since we won't do that every time it makes return visits more reasonable. We're even considering buying one the condos we liked it so much!

My husband, 2 daughters (ages 4 and 6) and I spent a weekend here in November of 2009! We looked at some of the other water parks and hotels nearby but this was the perfect water park for younger children, the life guards were exceptional and always focussed! We felt safe here and there wer plenty of slides for all ages (including my husband and self). The size is large enough to enjoy the many pool areas but not overwhelming like some of the other water parks!

My parents used to take me here years and years ago and it was always the best hotel in the Dells.

We have stayed 2 years ago and thought the place was nice and clean; somehting a mother of 2 toddlers pays attention to. This time distuingly dirty. All the pillows in the 3 different rooms we were moved to were soiled with yellow stains one even had blood on them with no pillow protectors like the supervisor admitted should have been on them that wasn't. our first room had a dirty tub and bathroom, dirty curtain on back sliding door. We were moved across the hall to a dirtier room with what appeared to be semen on the wall between slots of the headboard, pullout sofa had dirty linen, mattress on queen bed dirty with also stained linen, The supervisor said he was going to upgrade us to a condo for our inconvience and in the upgraded condo room one mattress had blood on it, dirty pillows, stained linen and dirty bathroom . We had canceled our dinner reservations so we could go to the outdoor waterpark due to the children being excited, but we did not get there due to the room moves and having to make sure things got cleaned. So out by the pool was no better. the ladies restroom between treehouse area and main pool sickening. there was poop coming out of a toilet onto the floor, more poop in another stall on the toilet seat and lots of toilet paper on the floor, baby changing station dirty, one lady had told me the restroom had been like this for an hour, i then went to the bar by the restroom told the gentleman working and he said he would notify housekeeping. Two and a half hours later still dirty ,never cleaned. i would never recommend to anyone

First family vaca. in 5 yrs., Wavepool shutdown for clean up 2 of 3 days do to fecal cont., slides not working because linked to wavepool, lady at courtesy desk very rude, tried to contact management about issues never received contact back. Tried to put bad review on websight, won't allow it.

We arrived on Christmas Eve at 5pm. The pools were really fun and the staff at the arcade really made the trip. Lisa at the spa was excellent, I would go back just for that. My kids had a blast and liked it almost as much as Kahlari. The entry way was beautiful. The wiley woods rope hurt their feet though. The service was great everyone was friendly even the people who had to work on Christmas day. I thought the shops were nice. The food was pretty good. THe rooms were alittle small. Camp Critters was awesome my little girl said. we would go again Donna,Kara, Shane, Dan, Nolan ,ryan

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge for Labor Day weekend, and we were simply awed by how spacious and clean our room was. Especially the private balcony! We had a better time relaxing and enjoying the hotel's waterpark then we did in the rest of the Dells. And we definitely took advantage of our balcony, relaxing in the sun, and sipping drinks for hours. We also went to the Camp Critter breakfast buffet, and the food (and Bloody Mary's) were amazing. We have already booked a bigger room for February to bring 4 of our friends!! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
