Would return tomorrow!!!!!
By Colleen M, 1/9/09
Just returned from a family - 5 day escape to Riu Bambu Staff was very friendly! Brush up on your Spanish though! Our room couldn't have been more perfect 2216 & 2210 1ST BUILDING - close to everything - I would have concerns if I had to walk to the farthest complex. (bathrooms need updating) Beach was absolutely beautiful - a lot of water sports by swimming area I strongly recommend the Sunset cruise! Well worth the money!

First time at a RIU
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/7/08
Hello all, Wife and I have been to the Dominican (Punta Cana) 9 time and upcoming trip to the Riu Bambu will be our tenth visit. We have stayed at the Iberostar's / Barcelo's/ Melia's/ Bavero's / LTI / Secrets and Majestic's . This is our first visit to a RIU establishment. From the write ups it appears this place falls right in place with what we expect from the Dominican vacation experience. A GREAT TIME. Will resubmit and update my ratings when we return, but expect it will stay the same. First drink is always a shot of Mamajuana to get the party started.

Very nice place
By Paul, 2/21/08
My wife and I enjoyed ourselves very much. Mother-in-law also enjoyed herself. A very nice place, good food, beautiful beach and not alot of "drunk party goers". My teenage son got bored at times. Not much for that age group to do. Staff kept my 9 yo busy with group activities. Staff was friendly. Would go back.

Holiday Of a lifetime
By ALISON, 9/19/07
Went to Hotel Riu Bambu Punta Cana 13.08.07 for a whole two weeks, it was not long enough, did not want to come home, having only booked holiday 5 weeks before departure, was feeling very nervous about taking two children with me ages 13 and 10, but we has the most amazing time there, the Staff were so friendly and everywhere was clean and immaculate, the rooms had air conditioning which was a godsend as it was so so hot, the beach was tropical with palm trees lining it for shade during the day. the Animation team were superb and were great with the children, they worked all day and night and were great fun, Food excellent, and catered for all taste buds. So sad to come home, but we have fantastic memories of this beautiful hotel and island, long white beaches, beautiful weather, dream island. We have all got fab tans and could not ever think of going anywhere else, we have been spoilt. XXXXXXXXXX

Going back this summer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/11/07
The hamburgers and fries at the Mama Juana restaurant were so delicious they couldn't compare to Mcdonald's.It was very convenient since the jacuzzi and bar were both integrated to the pool. Not many hotels have both jacuzzies and bars inside the pool.I loved eating breakfast at the Colonial restaurant.I ate the same thing everyday since breakfast was so delicious at this restaurant.I think that all the Riu hotels should have a away of informing people about the shows and entertainment.I did get to go to the caribean night show and also a 50's theme show but that was because one of the managers at colonial restaurant told me about it.They should have maybe a loudspeaker that would inform people about the shows that're going to be held.Bulletin boards might not be the best way to inform people about the shows that're going to be held.
