great location

room and bath very nice size, we faced the king street metro but the kids actually liked seeing trains. Lobby nice and staff helpful. Location near metro big plus and trolly down to end of King Street nice feature.

Chip's Review 05 & 06
By Martin, 07/08/07
Very clean and plenty of space for all our meetings. The location was perfect, from the quaint resturants and shops of "Old Town" to the visits to DC. Our conferences will never be the same! Enjoy!

Great Wedding Spot
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/06
I worked with Betsy on planning and setting up my wedding reception. She is a great person and a real joy to work with. Most importantly she cared. She acctually cared to do her very best to make my day as special as could be. She was very good about communication and using technology. That is the only way that we could have planned a wedding and reception accross country all the way from the state of Washington to Old Town Alexandria. From the door man, the wait staff to the chef and everyone inbetween ...the staff was great. The Hilton Old town Alexandria has got a gem in Betsy Jones and I for one don't mind telling the world about it.

Look Elsewhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/28/06
No real lobby, and they nickel and dime you to death. Although the location is close to the Metro, you are really at least 10 blocks from Old Town "proper". Cloer hotels offer a metro shuttle. 9.95 a day for internet is the "dark ages", and 20 dollars a day additional for parking is unheard of for a hotel guest in this area. 200 dollars a night is within the range for this area, but the others don't charge for internet, and IF they charge for parking, its a one time low price for your entire stay. The pool is nothing more than a large hot tub.

AWFUL SERVICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/05
Awful service. Its really a shame as this is a beautiful property. But the staff's incompetence made my stay absolutely unbearable. They do not accomodate late check outs, do not give out directions, do not man the concierge desk, and do not accomodate any special requests.

Fabulous 8 day stay!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/31/05
I was very impressed with this hotel. It is RIGHT on the Metro line. We walked across the street and hopped on the subway every day to travel to D.C. Hotel is beautiful! Ranking it a 3 star is not what this hotel deserves. I would definitely give it 4 stars. Our room was spacious and SOOOOO quiet! It was cleaned spotlessly every day. We were on the 6th floor and the view down King Street was beautiful! The concierge and staff were very helpful and polite. We only ate at Seagar's once as it was quite expensive (but good), but found a little breakfast place across the street. Hotel is a 20 minute walk from Old Town Alexandria and we spent 2 evenings walking around all the cute little shops and restaurants. The price we paid for our room was extremely reasonable ($119 a night...however, we booked way in advance and went in early May which is pretty slow season). Bed comfort and bathroom amenities were top-notch. Towels were huge and fluffy. Sheets were changed daily. Had a coffeemaker and small fridge too. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!

AWFUL STAFF
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/05
It started when I called to cancel my first day and come on my second. They gave my room completely away for the entire week. They did however, find me a new one. Then any time I called for a wake up call, I'd have to let the phone ring forever, or call back.... and the staff was very rude and snippy with me at all times.
