A very nice experience!

We stayed at An Island Oasis for 3 days in the spring of 2007. This Inn was charming. Having stayed at many B&B's, but never before having been to Key West, I can say that the service, cleanliness, and value of the Inn was good. We stayed in the cottage, which is not attached to the house, and it was lovely. All tile floors, a modern bathroom with shower, and a small kitchenette helped make our stay very comfortable. (I especially appreciated having a fridge to keep drinks cold!)
The innkeeper, Suzy, was VERY helpful for advising us on the 'must do' parts of Key West. Being first timers to the island, that was very nice. She took care of booking any reservations for us, and even handled a cancellation we needed taken care of. I highly recommend asking her to help you should you have any reservations made before or during your stay.
Location: Wow! We were a block off of Duval Street, which MAY sound a bit too loud for most - BUT... It is so very nice and quiet on the south end of the island! The crowds and bar crawls of Duval never make it even close to An Island Oasis, but they are close enough to walk to if you have even a slight amount of ambition. We especially enjoyed the proximity to the Beach Club - which is a free beach, where you can rent a chair for $5, and get served drinks while you soak in the sun, or take a dip in the Atlantic. I highly recommend this activity! And the walk to the Inn is about 5 min, if you're taking your time. Also close is the Trolley tour (do it - it's free transport for the day, and quite informative) and the Butterfly place (another must do!), as well as the Southernmost Point in the US.
I don't want to forget to mention the beautiful grounds, and the spa-pool. Perfect for relaxing when you're not in the mood to go out and about!
To summarize - stay at an Island Oasis if you're looking for a good value, with a very warm atmosphere.
