First class service! The best in Lima
By Maria, 09/01/09
This hotel is centrally located in the district of Miraflores, close to the best restaurants in Lima, parks, movie theaters and cafés. My mother and my two aunts recently stayed at The JW Marriott to celebrate my mom's birthday. Their room was spacious and airy with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean; the beds were very comfortable with luxurious linens. The three of them raved about the Spa services, especially the "Anti-Age" facial that my mom received during her stay and she is someone hard to please in terms of beauty treatments. Breakfast was at La Vista Restaurant (2nd floor). This has to be one of the best breakfasts in town: fresh squeezed tropical juices, an array of fresh made pastries, make to order omelets, various kinds of meats, even fish! It was a feast for the senses. I live in San Francisco, California. I got married at the JW Marriott 2.5 years ago and I was very impressed by the service and quality of the food my husband and I received during our wedding party and stay at this beautiful hotel overlooking the Pacific ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel for pleasure or business. You will not be disappointed.

Marriott always delivers ... Quality
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/09
The best location in Mira Flores (Lima) and, as aways, Marriott quality and service. The room, the comfort of the bed and the service top notch. The rooms are large with a view of the ocean and the bathrooms have both tub and shower. The breakfast buffet maybe the best in Lima. However, this JW Marriott has competition in this area (Sheraton, Park Hotel etc.) and the Sheraton has weekend prices that are excellent ($99 per night) and the Sheraton has in room WiFi internet connection FREE (It is $15 a day at the Marriott and not WiFi). I had a huge problem with connecting via internet. The rooms do not have WiFi only cable and I lost an hour working with tech support only to find out my room had a defective modem. Not Good. Besides that it was another great stay and yes, I will be back. 4.5 Stars

Great atmosphere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/07
This hotel is excellent in terms of location, service and cleanliness. About value, well, considering the rate I think some other ammenities should be included in it (Internet connection, Breakfast, for example)

Not your typical JW- Rock hard beds...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/07
My husband & I have stayed at dozens of Marriott, JW, & Renaissance properties around the world. This property did not meet the standards of a JW or even a Renaissance for that matter. After two nights my body ached from the firmness of the mattress. The front desk must have been familiar with the complaint as they offered me extra PILLOWS. There is nothing like staying in a high-end resort and having to put pillows on the bed to make it tolerable. Having had enough we called the front desk to change our reservation & check out early. The conveniently transferred me to a Marriott reservation line in Mexico and tried to charge me $38 USD for the call. When I spoke to the manager about the expense of the call for our reservation change the women at the front desk standing beside him rudely snickered as I became frustrated. Upon my return to the US I learned there is a toll free Marriott # for when you are in Peru. Funny how they could not provide me with that when they can charge me $38 to speak to a Marriott rep in Mexico. Bottom line - Front desk and operator service was deplorable. Property is nothing special, but quality is extremely high given the economy in Peru. Much better values are available in Lima.

First place I'll go when I go back to Lima!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/06
I did not stay at the Marriot in Miraflores. I was invited twice over there, once for tea and once for dinner. They had, both times,(different types of food) the most spectacular Buffet I have seen in a long time! I am a native peruvian. I lived there over 26 years. I know good peruvian food and what the Mariott served was FIRST CLASS, both in preparation and in presentation. It was delicious and everybody in my group of 10 agreed!I thought the Hotel was beautiful... And what a view!! Laura Nugent

Fantastic views and great staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/13/06
We enjoyed our stay in Lima. The Miraflores JW Marriott is on par with the finest hotels in the world. The price was dear, but the comfortable rooms and first-class service made it a good value.

Nice stay but.....
By ken, 01/04/06
I had a wonderful stay until I received an erroneous bill. Be very careful with your bill at this location, it's been two months, and they still have not corrected this issue. They have not been capable of handling these accounting matters, and have contradicted themselves many times about how they are handling the situation.

Poor Service
By Carla, 12/09/05
The view and location are the best for this hotel. The food wasn't that great, and take this comment from a native peruvian who knows what "Good Food" means in Lima. The Ammenities, besides the casino, were limited. Last but not least, the service was estremely poor. I travel to Lima every year and I always stay in different hotels, never had complaints with my previous choices, but with the Marriot I did. Staying there again??? is a NO, NO!
