DO NOT STAY HERE - TRUST ME
By Dissapointed, 5/31/11
I wanted to book a hotel room for our anniversary weekend. This was the only hotel that still had availability in down town saint pete. When we showed up, my fiance was immediatly dissapointed. There is no parking!. We had to lug all of our luggage like 3 blocks way. When we went to make our reservation,. The staff was rudely eating doritoes in front of us and speaking a foreign language to eachother.(I think talking about my girlfriend but cant really be sure). The price they printed out on the receipt was incorrect and they couldnt get the computer to print out the price correctly. The elevator looked unstable and my fiance wanted to walk up the stairs. The hotel walls were falling apart in some areas. The hotel hallway and room smelt like mold. The room was A LOT smaller than what the pictures indicated. The beds were very short and not comortable. The room was supposed to be a one queen studio with a great view of downtown.. Instead, it was a 2 queen tiny room. The only thing you could see through the dirty windows was some other building parts After looking at the nasty bathroom there is no way my fiance was going to stay there. We went back to the front desk and asked for our money back. It took about 4 days for the money to get back in to our account. Luckily we were able to get the last available room ANYWHERE on saint pete beach. That saved our weekend.

Never again!
By Jerry York, 5/17/09
Very noisey!!! Loud music until 12:30 am the nights we were there. Even though the rooms have free wifi it's the slowest ever! Nearly unusable. Room had a 13" TV!

It all depends!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/10/09
We stayed here so that we could attend a concert right up the street at the State Theatre, which is in walking distance. The hotel is old but was been updated, we really enjoyed our stay and they upgraded us tot a nicer room without even asking, Staff was friendly and informative giving us info on saving money on parking Probably not a great place to stay with kids but a nice little place downtown close to the water, We enjoyed it.

Nice location, horrible hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/3/09
Pros: great location, happening area. Cons: extremely loud music into the night (do NOT stay on the 2nd floor, make that do NOT stay on any floor here!), very rude staff ( I could elaborate, but won't), roaches crawling on my child, smelly, dirty floors, ripped sofa, tv did not work. I just can't get over the filth. I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS FIRST. Don't make the same mistake!

The worst hotel ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/7/09
I was extremely disappointed in this hotel. The management was so rude it overrode almost everything else. However, in addition, the rooms were not clean, the cleaning personnel did not leave shampoo, etc even though I left a tip every day, the bugs were VERY large (one in my shoe), the restaurant next door -- which they recommended for breakfast -- had lousy service and the waitress had her fingers in my food when she delivered it to my table. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are small, loud and the air conditioning is very outdated which causes a musty smell. There is only one elevator and if you are on a high floor and/or don't like or can't walk stairs, it could be a long wait. There are much better choices in downtown St. Pete. Find one.

Very disapointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/6/08
Parking a joke non at all Next door lot did not allow overnite. Had to park a block away.Bathroom door knob broken . Air conditioner vibrated off floor extremely loud. Then at 5: 30 AM on a saturday morn the loudest street work or whatever started and lasted for 1 hour .Unable to get back to sleep so I am doing this as I lie here awake. I am going to ask for an adjustment .All will be notified of my results.

convienent and reasonable
By KATE, 5/7/07
I thoughly enjoyed my stay here. They are in the midst of remodling, so it wasn't as nice as it will be. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the price was very reasonable. The elevator was out of order when we left, so we walked down 4 flights of stairs. But that could happen to anyone. The trolly stops right in front of the door, and everything is literally just blocks away. I will definetly use them again.

Can you hold it?
By Jinxed0721, 7/31/06
This hotel is in a great location. The pros end there. Not only do you have to hike up flights of steep stairs to get to your room (the staff does not man the old fashioned Otis elevator on a regular basis) the rooms are falling apart and smell funny. Our bathroom door was broken (the doorknob fell off and locked us out of the bathroom). After we checked in we went up to unload our suitcases and get ready to go out. The doorknob broke so we brought the knob down to the front desk and asked then to fix it before we came back. When we came back the door was fixed but in the middle of the night nature called and the door knob fell off again, locking us out. No answer at the front desk until morning when my bladder all but burst! I would not stay here again if it was the last hotel in all of Florida!
