Excellent Overall
By Sarah, 2/4/08
I stayed at this hotel 3 nights and have no complaints. The rooms are lovely, the service superior and the location is great. I had a bit of a problem checking out when dinner that I never had was charged to my room and it took them a bit of time to sort it out, which meant I left to the airport I bit later than planned. But that was the only hitch. I'd definitely want to stay there if I go back to Amman again.

Great bodywarming experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/07
The Grand Hyatt in Amman is not in the greatest location on a busy main road and crazy taxi drivers. Once inside I really enjoyed the attentive staff - especially Rami from room service who was has an absolute passion for pleasing guests. He never failed to lift my flagging spirits with creamy mash potatoe when I got often got back after working late nights. The lobby lounge is really comfortalbe with non smoke fires and one can get really cozy on those cold Amman nights. My only complaint was the carpets in the rooms not being clean. Otherwise a really enjoyable stay.

One of the Best Experiences I've Had
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/07
Service was friendly, attentive, and very professional. Actually superior to most high-end hotels I've stayed at in the U.S. Room was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. I gave it a great value because I had a special rate, but even if I had paid full price, it would have been good value. Location is about 30-40 minutes from the airport. All my sight seeing was outside Amman so I didn't pay much attention to what was near the hotel. Great Spa, resturants, bars and shops in the hotel itself. Again - the staff made this hotel stay outstanding!

Can't wait to leave
This is a very attractive looking hotel but the service is dreadful. To the reviewer who wrote 'whether you are a simpleton or a millionaire' you are treated the same - try being a women traveller alone. The staff here are totally chaotic and unhelpful - whether in the restaurant or the housekeeping. The rooms have none of the advertised amenities, e.g. complementary fruit, water, tea & coffee making facilities. If you ask for them, you will be very lucky to get a helpful response. Similarly, the advertised connecting walkways to Zara expo and shopping centre seem to be for staff only. Guests have to walk along the road. If you have to stay here, I suggest bringing your own supplies.

Great Hotel in Great Location
I visited on business and enjoyed my stay. The location was a perfect central point for all our activities. Everything we needed was on site, and the staff was fantastic. The only minor criticism I have is that the gym could be a bit bigger, but it's still much larger than many hotel gyms.

over security
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/5/06
this hotel is excellent, one of the best you'd go to, but there is too much security, that makes the persondont feel comfortable sometimes, there is always a police car in front of the hotel sometimes more than one, this is also good. jordanian police is very helpful, if you need anything you can tell a cop, sometimes they 'll take you in their car to whereever you wanna go. the hotel service is excellent in general.
