Thought it would be better !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/07
Shared a 3 bedroom condo and had the oceanfront bedroom. It was a maize of doors. In order to get in the closet, the room door had to be shut, the chest of drawers couldn't be opened without hitting the bed, in addition to them all sticking and being difficult to reach. The paint on every front door to every condo on our floor was chipped and peeling in addition to the rooms being small and the furniture very worn and cheap looking. Great view from the balcony!

Had a blast at the beach!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/07
We stayed at SeaWatch for an Internet party. Everyone at the resort made us feel right at home. We had our special events in the Conference rooms which were transformed into our themes for each event by an outstanding kitchen staff. Food was GREAT.....the pulled pork the best we ever had! Because each unit has a kitchen, we did breakfast in our room too and were actually able to host an evening get together in our room for a bunch (30) of our friends too. Front desk staff so wonderful and professional and housekeeping thorough. Property is beautiful and close to Restaurant Row and shopping. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Sea Watch is very family oriented. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The amenties are outstanding..Except the restaurant. The food wasn't great but part of vacation is experiencing the different food scenes, isnt it??

We loved it so much!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/11/07
My husband, daughter, and I had a wonderful stay. I don't understand why some review-writers say they had impolite staff, because the staff is quite simple very well-behaved and they are always willing to help. There are no bugs or dust in sight, and the view is simply wonderful. My daughter says she could have sworn she saw a few dolphins jumping in the distance one morning. The pools and hot-tub areas were clean and the water was the perfect swimming temperature throughout our stay. The gift shop is filled with wonderful souveneirs and we bought many quality items for an extremely cheap price. I can truthfully say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Great Experience
By JACK, 6/6/07
Just like any hotel/resort in a tourist location, nothing will be perfect & I try not to focus on the "little stuff" (in my opinion) like some, but I had no complaints about our stay at Sea Watch. And I was quite nervous because this was my first time down here in many, many years and some of the reviews of the hotel made me wonder. But now, I read them with a grain of salt since some of the reviews I encountered were too "nitpicky", in my opinion. We rented our room through the hotel (so keep that in mind because the rooms might be different depending on if you go through the hotel or a rental agency or timeshare). The breakfast buffet was excellent. We didn't plan on eating dinner there, so the hours of the restaurant then was not that important. The housekeeping was excellent -- daily service. The hotel was very clean. We stayed the last week of August, 2004, so you still have alot of families staying there -- but it is just that: families. Plus, the rates are slightly cheaper, so if you can wait an extra week, it's worth it (we saved about $500 waiting a week). Great entertainment for the kids. Enjoyed the occasional drink at the poolside bar. (was slightly pricey, but it was expected. IN fact, alcohol in general at MB is not cheap). The location is excellent. Right on the beach. Plus, plenty of shopping and a WalMart Supercenter right down the street for groceries. The water amenities are excellent. Expect a wait at the front desk, depending on time of day and their staffing. But again, this was my ONLY issue here. IN reality, it's a "non-issue" to me. My wife and I plan on going back and always recommend this place to family and friends.

Best in my 56 years
By Lawrence, 5/19/07
I just spent Spring Bike Week at the Sea Watch resort and I have to tell you, I've been coming to Myrtle Beach my whole life (I'm currently 56) and I've stayed all over the area but this was hands down the best experience ever. The entire staff couldn't have been any more helpful and courteous. The room was great and the location wonderful but the difference was in attitude. Since it was Bike Week a lot of resorts/hotels take the attitude of "hey we want your money but not your bikes". Sea Watch had a special covered area reserved just for bikers and had security watching them. When you walked into the lobby they had a box of towels out for the bikers to use to wipe down their pride and joy. Their attitude coupled with great facilities guaranteed that I will be back there next year, if not sooner. Thanks to all the staff at the Sea Watch.
