We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved it! It was easy to get to and the downtown area was within minutes. It was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. We had a little refig (a pretty good size too), microwave, and coffeemaker too, which was awesome. Actually, we were supposed to get 2 double beds because it was cheaper, but when we got there they gave was a king size bed for the same price which we wanted at 1st. We even got an awesome view of the river from our balcony. We loved the layout of the room, also. The breakfast was great. The only complaint would be is it was the same thing everyday and it wasn't hot enough. Other than that it tasted great. It is an awesome stay for honeymooners, families, and elderly because it is quiet and relaxing. Our only complaint would be that the maintenance guy wasn't friendly when one of our lights went out, but you get someone like that everywhere you go. Everyone else there was nice though. We would stay there again (wish it was a little cheaper though) and would highly recommend it to someone.

Our singles group stayed there recently. Everyone was very pleased with the services provided. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were very clean, the area is beautiful, the employees couldn't have been nicer, the breakfast was delicious, and the price was most reasonable. What a pleasant experience for all of us!

We stayed there for our annivesary and loved it. It was a lot more affordable than the historic district and it was only $10 for a taxi over. Nice rooms.We are planning a return trip and this will be our first pick of a place to stay. View was awsome!

We brought an entire soccer team here from NC. At 1am, the fire alarm activated. They claim it was caused by a guest room heater unit being turned on (dust??) NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. Alarm blared on and off until after 3am. Attendant on duty could not reset. Mgt did not react appropriately despite over 50 guests camped in the lobby. No one got any sleep. Mgt WILL NOT OFFER COMPENSATION! Completely unacceptable. All this for the bargain price of $150/night! Stay next door at the Residence Inn.

Great hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. Room was clean and had a great layout for a small family. Staff was excellent! Will stay again!

Amazing breakfast buffet....parking is easy and it is just a few minutes and easy drive into town. Have stayed there twice and will do so again. All staff very nice and cleaning staff were so helpful and polite.

We stayed at this hotel in October 2006 and would not stay anywhere else in Charlston. Luxury without paying the press. Everything is first class. Wonderful view on the river side. Very special

Difficult parking, mediocre location, understaffed, no bottled water for sale (even though someone could have run to the corner store to purchase/restock shelves), broken remote control in room & No hot water in the morning - confusion reigned and manager was unwilling or unable to offer decent customer service. Shrugged sholders and rolled eyes as we waited over two hours for a trickle of warm water, to know avail. We fled in disgust & moved to a competing hotel that knew how to treat guests! Horrid experience. Don't waste your time and money here.

Springhill Suites fills our needs for a safe, convenient, easy parking, reasonable and pleasant staff. Even the complimentary breakfast is geared to the early risers, as well as, those that like a little sleep. I go alone to visit friends, family and on business and feel safe. The staff is very helpful with everything from directions ( with maps) to reservations at recommended restaurants. My husband and I come to Charleston and Springhill Suites for rest from very active work loads. We have peace and quiet, computer access(if we want) and the convenience of a separate living area and balcony for reading, etc. Besides all of this, the view into the Charleston Bay is beautiful.
