Perfect Location
By ,
We stayed here for a few days before heading to a convention at the Westin. The location was perfect as a take off point for sightseeing in the downtown area.

Don't let them touch your car!
By ,
We used our Living Social voucher last weekend. On a surface level, the staff is friendly. They upgraded us to a corner suite (which is slightly bigger and quieter). However, the room had one window which opened to an air shaft (e.g. the middle of the building and no light). The other window open to a notch in the building that was roughly 20 feet deep (in other words, no external light from here, either). The Living Social special came with a $25 voucher for "food and beverage." Once we arrived at the hotel we received the voucher, complete with all the fine print. The voucher was for dinner only and was not to be used on alcohol. We didn't see the fine print until we went to use the voucher for breakfast. I had to leave the restaurant to go to the front desk to get the issue cleared up, as it was a bait and switch situation. This took about 15 minutes, as the front desk clerk had to call his sales manager. Finally, I was told I could use the voucher for breakfast. Thank you, but it was a stress that should not have occurred if this information had actually been included in the Living Social offer. Free internet was included with the package. I guess that's good, as I've NEVER stayed at a hotel that actually charged for internet access. Many times the internet speed was so slow that it dropped. At one point I clocked the speed at well under 1 Mbps. That's fine for free, but I would have been quite disappointed if I was forced to pay for service that slow. Finally, we get to the valet parking and this is why I've giving such a low overall rating. As our car was brought out the second morning of our stay as we were preparing to leave, we found a three inch long scratch on the mirror and a chip in the door. Seriously? This car is my husband's pride and joy. He hand washes it every week and knows every inch of that car. When he dropped it off for the valet, he walked around it to check it out and when he picked it up from the valet, he walked around it and checked it out. At some point from the time we dropped it off at the valet and picked it up, it was damaged. After speaking with the front desk clerk and the valet attendant at length and showing them the damage, we were giving the hotel manager's business card. After multiple emails back and forth with the hotel over the past two weeks, we were told they “considered the issue closed.” They told us the area they park the cars in is fully secure and they stated the car must have been “vandalized.” Hmmmm…. If the parking garage is fully secure and the car is vandalized during that time, then the damage was done by an employee. I don’t believe it was vandalized, but I do know that one of the valets was very careless to cause this damage. The $300-500 it will cost us to repair the damage Hotel Le Soleil caused (along with the stress of dealing with their bait and switch tactics) was definitely NOT worth what we saved with our Living Social deal.

DOUBLE CHARGED VISA! STILL NO REFUND.
By ,
Our second time staying at the hotel. We stayed for valentines and upon returning home to ontario saw that our Visa had a random $213.00 amount charged to it. We called and nobody could tell us what the amount was for, and guessed that another guests charge was put on our card, excuse me?!?!? it's been SIX WEEKS since our stay, and i've called multiple times speaking with the accounting department and the hotel manager STILL no resolve and no money credited back to our Visa. This stay was supposed to be a gift to my boyfriend and this entire mess has completely spoiled the occasion and is still an ongoing stress. the room service food was ok, cold when it arrived to our room which kind of spoiled it.

Perfect!
By ,
I found Le Soleil to be outstanding in every way. The decor is lovely, the ambiance warm, and the staff professional, corteous and helpful. The location is perfect, a few blocks away from shopping, the waterfront, and several dining options (it is a very safe area, too). I did not dine at the restaurant but had breakfast ordered every morning and it was great. For a very reasonable rate, I had a suite-like room, with a living room area and a (very) small bedroom. I would most definitely come back.

A Diamond In the City Of Glass
By ,
On my first time in Vancouver, I am extremely satisfied that I chose Le Soleil for my stay. Nestled discretely in downtown Vancouver, LeSoleil holds its own with the bigger hotels. I liked the fact that the rooms are more like suites instead of the typical hotel room. The suites were cozy and well suited for one person or a couple. It offered a variety of amenities as well as a scrumptious meals prepared by the hotel restaurant (try the prime rib-a real winner)! The staff was pleasant, helpful, and even inquired as to how they can make your stay more pleasant. One of the bellmen said he was beginning to get worried when one of my tours ran late. Traveling alone as a woman, it was comforting to know that Le Soleil was interested not only in your comfort but your well being as a whole. Kudos Le Soleil, I will be back next year!

Lovely Boutique Hotel
By ,
This is truly a lovely hotel with an outstanding staff. Courteous, professional and unpretentious service abounds. The rooms are far more luxurious than the the majority of the upper end chain brands and rates are at least 35% less. Will definitely stay at Hotel Le Soleil when we are in Vancouver!

Lovely
By ,
We could only afford one night, but it was well worth it! (so where the chocolate covered strawberries). The golden and white room was absolutely lovely! I really enjoyed the walk in shower (enough room for two, or more) and the furniture was very nice. The television was a little difficult to traverse, and we were a little disappointed to discover in the “adult” section, no gay films were offered. The bed was extremely comfortable and the elevators were nice and large. Though the most hilarious part was of course having our 1990-something Toyota valet parked as if it were just as important as the Hummer infront of us or the Porsche that pulled up behind us when we checked out. We were treated wonderfully, even though it was obvious this sort of life wasn’t something we could normally afford. But again, it was well worth it.
