horrible experience

I was traveling with my 13 year old child when it began raining very hard.I decided it would be best if we stopped for the night and saw this location. We checked in and went to eat when the rain slowed down. When we returned to our room,we were unable to enter the room with our key.I went to the front desk, after accusing me of deactivating the key with my cell phone or other card,he gave me another set of keys. These did not work either. We did this 2 more times until it was discovered the machine used to activate the cards was off line due to the rain(by this time, there were 2 other people unable to get into their rooms also).I was let in to my room by the desk clerk with his master key and was told he would call me or bring me a new set of keys as soon as the machine came up.This never happened. My child and I were unable to leave the room together due to not being able to get back in.He had to eat breakfast the next morning by himself and then I went down. When I complained at check out time, the manager acted like I was not telling the truth until someone else told her they had problems that night with the 3rd floor..but there still was no apology or concern.THEN after a week,I was checking my credit card statement and found I had been charged for 2 days stay instead of the 1 we were there.I havent been reimbursed for the additional day yet.
