Wonderful and Quaint!
We stopped at Granny's Inn on our way back from a week long motorcycle trip to WV and needed a one night stay over before finishing our road trip to the Hudson Valley, NY. Our overnight stays usually consisted of Days Inn, some good and some not so good.
Granny's Inn was wonderful! Vic, the owner, did everything in his power to make sure we had a comfortable stay. I needed a hairdryer and he handed me a zebra striped powerhouse of a hairdryer! We didn't want to ride out again to buy a six pack so Vic sold us one at regular cost.
We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and the food was excellent PA Dutch cooking. We took a ton of pictures of the restaurant, so very quaint and welcoming. The rooms were nice, old fashioned furniture and pictures of grannies on the walls with pretty country look curtains on the windows. The A/C worked great.
The bed was comfy and the shower pressure was powerful, not like the usual mist of a shower you get in motels.
The waitress told us what meals were the highlights of the day and what desserts were baked on premises. Everyone is easy going and very friendly. I would return in a heartbeat.
There is no internet connection and bring your own shampoo (and hairdryer). They are currently painting rooms, our bedroom was freshly painted but the bathroom wasn't as yet.
This is NOT your usual Days Inn, and we really enjoyed that!
