unexpected fees
By ,
The view was spectacular. The room was better than expected. Very clean. However the stocked mini bar only included 6 120z cans of beer that cost 8.95 per can????. The breakfast buffet that was included in the package was okay. Some of the items were sub-par however there was a decent selection between cold and hot foods. The buffet is not worth it if it is not free! The advertised/special price is a joke be prepared to pay more than your reservation says. Parking is 25/day (not mentioned in your reservation)-but you do receive your car in a timely manner. We would have looked for different parking if we had not just driven 3 hours in the snow. They automatically charge you a security deposit (which is not returned until 2-3 days afterwards or mentioned during the reservation process), wireless internet is free only in public areas-the lobby. The staff was friendly and the location is good. There are restaurants and the casino within walking distance but the falls wasn't really in walking distance for me (28 and relatively fit), maybe in the summer its more walkable. The dinner voucher to the Terrapin restaurant is not needed because the food was tasteless. No microwave in the hotel at all and the only fridge was the minibar. My reservation advertised as 385 for 2 days 3 nights. My actual cost was 441. The room was the fallsview king fireplace with jacuzzi. Don't get caught up on the packages explore your options because you probably will do better if you just take a room. The packages seem to be a selling tactic. The winery was very nice but it can be purchased for $5/person without a package deal. My expectations were for a nice room with a great view and I got just that. Not worth it with the additional fees tagged on.

Perfect Wedding Experience!
By ,
My husband and I were married in Niagara Falls in 2007. We live in Florida, so we married & honeymooned in Niagara. We spent five nights at the Marriott, and it was 5 star fantastic! The view was amazing! The jacuzzi tubs were excellent! The restaurant is to die for! The service was the best that we experienced while in Niagara.

Horrible Hotel
By ,
I thought this hotel was going to be great reading other reviews, but I was wrong. When I got to the hotel everything looked great. They gave me a parking pass overnight and they informed me that they need to put $100 hold on my card in case anything happens. I wasn't upset and gave them my card. The next morning I looked on my online banking statement (by the way it costs $12.95 a night to use WIFI in the hotel) and realized that I had two pending charges for the room. Priceline where I booked and resort on the falls. Totaling out around $1100. I went to the reception desk to ask whats going on. They said the funds will be back into my account within a day or so and that they will not charge me. When I checked out of the hotel they informed me it was $20 a night for parking and asked for my card again. They did not tell me about parking when I checked in. They only gave me a pass fr overnight parking to which I felt was free seeing in though I paid $200 + a night for a hotel stay. When I got home the extra charge of $600 went through onto my credit card and I had to call Marriott asking them to take it off. They admit it was human error and they had other customers calling about the same thing. So basically there staff is incompetent and doesn't know how to do their jobs. They also still have a pending charge of an additional $600 on my card also. So my limit has been exceeded due to two overcharges by the hotel. When I talked to the lady from accounting she said other customers had similar complaints about the reception desk not telling about parking. I could have parked my car for $10 down the street. If I parked a little further away, I could have parked for free. The hotel itself was not impressive. The room smelt and they don't even have a freezer or microwave. They charge $112.95 a day for wireless internet access (usually free), and you can hear people in other rooms from the bathroom wall. If your use to epexting the little things (free parking, wireless internet, not being charged twice or three times for the same thing) for free, I recommend you stay far away from the Marriott. The hotel location is OK, but its still a good walk to the falls unless you want to pay extra for going down a zip line car. I have stayed at over 40 hotels in my life, and I can say the Marriott was the worst.

Mind-blowing view
By ,
My husband and i just returned after a 2 night stay at Niagara Falls view. The location of the hotel is just superb. We got a room on the 23rd floor and being my first visit to Niagara, the moment i stepped into the room , i was just blown away..It was out of this world..We had the horse shoe falls right in front of the room. The falls is just walking distance from the hotel...There is a bridge from the lobby that takes you to the incline bridge in less than 2 mins and you walk down and cross the road and there you are near the falls in 5 mins. Nothing can beat the location. Rooms were clean. Jacuzzi was great. And we loved the breakfast buffet too...Yes...they should have avoided the $20 valet parking...but then i dont mind since we never had to wait for the car..it was right there in less than the time they mention...Over all i would go with 5 out of 5..

Hotel NOT worth the money
By ,
We spent the weekend at the Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday. This was my present to him. When we first walked into the room the views were just spectacular. That was the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. The towels in the laundry room were dirty and had a lot of hair and clearly not cleaned after the previous guests left. The bed sheets were dirty. I woke up with a bad rash and a swollen eyelid. I raised these issues to the manager. I thought the manager was not at all professional or competent. At no point did she apologize for the issues I had and another employee told me to just put tea bags on my eyelid for treatment. They didn't even bother to tell me where the nearest medical clinic is. All she said was that she will check into it. This is a 4 start hotel and I think it is a total rip off for the price you pay. The rooms are very very dirty. The restaurant was good. We moved to the hilton the last night and it was a much more central location and had beautiful views. The staff was much more professional. Hilton was also a cheaper hotel.

Worst Hotel Stay I've ever had - DO NOT STAY HERE
By ,
Very, very upset and dissatisfied with our stay. I booked the Presidential Suite as a surprise and celebration of my husband's 65th birthday. I shall list my discrepancies as there are so many. 1. The advertised room rate online is $499.95 per night, we were charged $524.95 for one night. 2. The heat in the living room area did not work and engineering had to come and fix the heater and provided us with a portable space heater. 3. I decided to take a relaxing whirlpool in our room and when I got in I noticed pubic hairs in the tub from a previous guest which I did not see until I was "in" the whirlpool. Note there were no safety bars for getting in or out of the whirlpool therefore my husband could not even use the tub even if it were clean. 4. The duty manager said she would give us a jr. pres. suite but we would still have to pay full charges for it. 5. Online description says room stocked with "a stocked mini bar and a stocked wet bar". There were 8 cans of beer in the fridge. 6. Bellhop said we had use of the concierge room beside ours. The door was locked and the front desk said it was closed on the weekends. 7. The $90 room service hamburgers were cold. 8. We could not purchase a bottle of water in the lobby because they had no change for a $20 bill. 9. When we told the duty manager that we were leaving in the morning and not continuing our 2 night stay we were asked to return the $100 voucher for breakfasts and dinner. 10. We were refunded for this horrible experience in the sum of $100 which was the value of the coupon. 11. The internet was $10 to use for 24 hours in our room and personally I think this should be complimentary in the Presidential Suite. On top of all the disappointments I "feel" guilty giving my husband such a horrible gift. We did not stay in Niagara Falls or visit the casino and stores as planned because the aura of the vacation was ruined and we went home.

Awesome hotel, kind of pricey
By ,
The room was very clean and the view was excellent. The jacuzzi was great and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Hairdryers are hanging in a bag in the closet, just in case you are looking for them. The location was great and very close to the Fallsview Casino. The shuttle to other casinos and attractions was $9 (good for your entire stay) but it was well worth it to save time. Overall a great but expensive experience.

Very nice but hit with extras
By ,
Wife and I were very impressed with the room and the beautiful view from our room. I was not too happy that after paying nearly $300 a night for a room that the internet was still an additional charge of $10 a day. We are almost afraid to do anything in our rooms for fear we will be charged. If I sneeze will someone show up at the door asking for $10? Also there are no hairdryers in the bathrooms, just an FYI for future patrons. That's my only real complaint, the rest of the experience has been wonderful!

Lovely hotel and good service, one suggestion
By ,
My experience at the Mariott Fallsview, was for the most part very good. When I arrived I was offered a free upgrade to a fallsview suit with a king size bed and the service was excellent. My only concern was when we left. I mentioned to the person at the desk that the colour on the television was not right. The yellow took over faces and various other colours on the screen. This was simply a comment that it needed to be checked out, not a request for a reduced charge. The reaction was odd. It was as if I had not said a thing. No acknowledgement of my statement. I assume this was simply a matter of one person not knowing how to react, but this should be corrected. It was of no consequence to me if the colour on the tv was off, but it might have been important to the next person.

LOVED IT!
By ,
This hotel has to be one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. I had done the weekend romance package, it was really nice. The resturant here is kind of pricey but its all a tourist trap anyways. The food was amazing, try their ceaser salad, it was godly. The rooms were big, and romantic. Overall the weekend was amazing, my girlfriend loved it a lot to, I'm planning to go back ina few months, I might stay more than two nights this time though!!!!
