This was my first visit @ the IH hotel, and l loved it all around, the Staff was WONDERFUL, the hotel was beautiful and I just loved when they turned the lights down and lite candles in the lobby after hours, the location was awsome everything was in walking distance. I give the IH hotel a 10 thumbs ups! JUST WOUNDERFUL!!!! and I will be back for my next visit.

Love This Hotel
By Jenny, 10/19/10
Great boutique hotel. The decor is fabulous and it smelled wonderful when you walked into the lobby. My room was a fantastic corner room and the chandelier was awesome. You can tell it is an older building but the remodel was great. The only minus was the valet. Not terribly responsive when you are checking in.

Our Place to Stay in New Orleans
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/09
We found this hotel a few years ago when we needed a room on short notice. The International Hotel was able to acommodate us immediately at a reasonable cost. We were thrilled when the taxi let us off and we were greeted by attentive people who escorted us into the beautiful hotel lobby. Our room was clean, decorated nicely and had everthing we needed. This trip was our fifth stay, and next year we are planning to return again.

Had a Wonderful Time !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/25/09
Good location, great service. As a frequent traveler to the area, we're always looking for quaint, quiet, upscale hotels in which to stay. This was our first stay there and we were not disappointed.

THE HOTEL STAFF ARE NICE BUT THE HOTEL IS MISLEADING. DIRTY, SUFFOCATING AND THE CARPET LOOKS DUMPY. NEED TOTAL RENOVATION

Hot hotel.. literally
By James, 7/22/08
The hotel was awesome in most aspects. We arrived around 9pm on July 18th. The thermostat was set on around 69 and the temp reading said 72. We lowered the temp to 65 and left the hotel for a few hours only to return to the same temp. We received 3 different answers from 3 different people. They tried to give us a lower level room without a window and it was WAY below the room we had in terms of luxury. Very old feeling and dirty. So we just kept the warmer room. Very unsatisfied with the way this was handled or rather not handled.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/11/08
Wonderful place - great value and location! Fun and modern boutique style hotel. Lots of charm and great service. I have stayed at the International House over a dozen times and my company stays there while traveling on business to New Orleans. I have never been disappointed!

Lovely hotel, convenient location off French Quarter
By SaraR, 1/1/08
The location was good- just off Canal in the Central Business district. Was convenient for checking out the French Quarter & access to all the street car lines. The hotel was lovely & the service was fantastic. My only negatives were the room was quite small(but well appointed and clean), and the hotel parking service was pricey ($30/day, but it was also valet with in/out priveleges).

Modern, elegant comfort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/1/07
The decor is impressive. You walk into the lobby and want to stay there. I got a last minute room during Jazz Fest and was very thankful. Location is just outside the Quarter and an easy walk or cab to everything. Bathroom shower was gorgeous with a huge wall of glass and Aveda amenities. Lots of towels too. Room comes with a cd player/fm radio and a ceiling fan which is nice. WiFi didn't work in my room for reasons I never found out but it worked in the lobby and that was also an interesting place to meet people. Staff was beyond nice. Bar was really nice. Would have liked a coffee maker in room instead of service in the lobby only. Bed was more firm than what I have at home; I prefer a Eurotop. Wish there was room service but you can't have everything. All things said, a lovely boutique hotel.
