It's ok... Not memorable.

- Very fast Internet - Good workspace, can see TV from desk - Not connected to skywalk, but close to it - Thin celling, can hear walking - Refrigerator & microwave in room - No free parking - Room fixtures a little worn

Ripped Off
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/08
I was charged for a reservation for 2 rooms that I had cancelled more than 24 hours before. The staff misrepresented our phone conversations so that they would not have to refund the cost of the rooms. I travel 3 out of 4 weeks. I am incredibly well organized about my travel, and I have NEVER had a hotel treat me this way - like a criminal. I will never stay at another Holiday Inn again. I had read a review on this site about how rude the staff at this hotel was...I should have heeded their warning.

Beware traveler
By Kathleen D, 12/03/06
The rooms are very nice but the staff is VERY rude and unaccommodating. Then to top it off they sneak in a $12.00 parking fee as a incidental fee.

We love the service and the people!
By Nusha, 09/14/05
The room was great, the service was fantastic and the people who helped us were cooperative, very friendly and very nice. I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I can't wait to go back and celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary.

not such a good deal
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/05
I stayed at this hotel thinking it was a great bargain. Due to the last person's post, I was deceived to believe that it was the only hotel downtown in which parking was fee. It's not. Their own lot next to the hotel is $12 per day! Others in the area are between $5 and $8 a day. The public lot across the street is $11.50 per day - so not much of a bargain there. I swore up and down to the staff that I had read on the web that their parking was free; turned out that I had gotten that from the previous poster and misunderstood him. The female staff person at check-in time was quite rude to me regarding my being upset about this, and was relunctant to offer me any alternative parking choices that were cheaper, saying only to me that "it's the same price at any other lot downtown". She did not apologize. I was ready to look for a different motel for my other nights (4 nights in total), but decided to stay. Other than her, the staff was adequately friendly and helpful, but not overly so by any means. The motel was nice, but I've stayed in much nicer motels in other towns and for $60-70 instead of $100. If you do stay here and will be away from the hotel during the day as I was (I was taking a class at a college in St. Paul), i discovered that you can park your car easily along the street about one block away for free. They are metered spaces, but only checked 8 AM - 6 PM and even then are not expensive (4 hour limit). Heck of a lot better than spending $48 for four days of parking!

Excellent value in downtown Minneapolis
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/05
This hotel was a great value for a downtown location--$30 less per night than the discounted conference rate for the Hilton across the street. Amenities include: a nice-sized pool; a hot tub; an exercise room with good equipment; complimentary newspaper; high-speed internet access in the room; complimentary fresh fruit available throughout the day and evening in the breakast area; and a complimentary breakfast that included fresh pineapple. Staff was helpful--even allowing a late check-out to accomodate my schedule. Located two blocks from Convention Center. On-site parking was limited, but a public lot across the street was convenient.
