Not Pleased At ALL

I just wanted someone to know the very poor service my family received the weekend we stayed with this hotel. When we arrived we were very pleased with the looks of the building and the staff reception at the time of check-in. From there it went downhill. We had three rooms reserved and two of us checked in first. The wrong people were put in one of the rooms and my husband and I were not even checked in. Two hours later the other person went to check in and they had him in already and paid for, but not my husband and me. It took awhile for the front desk people to figure out how to change that, but apparently they didn't because when we checked out on Sunday, things were still not correct.
When we went to our room there was such a strong perfume smell. When I asked if we could please be moved, we were told nothing was wrong with the room, but we could have a air cleaner in the room and we would just have to sit in the lobby while it worked. We had just drove 9 hours and really would have liked another room. The front desk person told me that the rooms were not assigned until you arrived, so I asked if we could please have a room on first floor by my parents, that is what we had requested because my father is handicapped. The front desk person said that if we moved if would have to be on fifth floor and no other room was available. As we sat while the air cleaner was in our room, we watched a lot of people check in and received first floor rooms. We were treated very cold throughout all this. My husband has very bad asthma and the smell triggered an attack. After returning in the room when the air cleaner was finished the room smelled bad. I went to the front desk and told them and was told she had just checked the room and it smelled fine. If it wasn't for a family reunion, we would have left immediately. I have worked in the motel business and this just isn't the way to treat your customers. When our last person arrived, like I stated earlier, the reservation was messed up. He was upset with all the mix-up and was writing the clerks name down so he could talk to a manager about her and she stepped back from her computer and said she was offended and had to right to refuse service. Then she threatened to call the police. We were shocked, unbelievable. We were going to leave and my mother asked us to stay because it would be to hard to move my father that night. The motel was a beautiful place, but the service we received from the front desk personnel was terrible. The lady kept saying we have all worked here for over four years, we know what we are doing. We had three rooms for two nights and it is sad it went the way it did.
