Best hotel experience ever!!

A group of about forty met here for a conference in May 2008. We had met here the year before when it was under different management/name. This Hyatt had undergone major renovation, not only in its style and physical characteristics, but also in its staff. Maybe it was due to the newness of it all, but EVERY person on staff we met from maids to managers was very helpful, friendly and caring. They went above and beyond as far as I am concerned; providing shuttle service to and from Dallas/Ft. Worth airport, a couple of us who needed to go to Walmart (which "just down the road" turned out to be a few miles), taking a group of us stragglers who had stayed an extra night out to a restaurant and picking us up later. The area around it doesn't look the prettiest, but I felt very safe. The amount of staff was not skimpy in the least. It is close to the Six Flags, baseball stadium, the new under construction football stadium, many restaurants and I'm sure much more. We weren't there for sight seeing after all. I slept better than at home, the bed was so comfy with a ton of pillows provided. BIG tv in each room, not some dinky little thing. I just hope this high standard they have set for themselves holds up to the long haul, because we plan on meeting there again next year. Please, guys, get the air conditioning fixed in the lobby. It was malfunctioning at the time of our visit. But that was 'no biggie' as far as I am concerned. After all, there HAD to be something that would keep this place from being perfect. Oh, and the expanded food menu was fresh, yummy and generous portions. A little pricey, but that's to be expected in a hotel. Actually it wasn't any more than if we had gone out to breakfast, etc. The 'free' breakfast items were the usual, but all food was served on real dishes with real flatware. Several choices of coffee plus juices, milk, and several variety of good teas. I just prefer a hot breakfast. Eating area was super clean and super stocked. And...there is a small bar in the lobby if you prefer a cold beer or drink later in the day or a more exotic coffee as latte, etc. And...I could check my email on one of two computers. And...I needed to send a fax for which there was no fee. And...the day the last of the group checked out they stashed our luggage for us while we trekked off for a leisurely lunch down the road. Service after the fact, no less. This is a bunch that one and all worked hard to make us comfortable and happy. One note: Dallas, Texas in May can get VERY warm!
