Monumental Hotel Orlando, Orlando

Like: Quiet, clean standard room. A/C kept it cold. Worth the money we paid. Bathroom clean. Fresh, clean linens. Plug in HS internet available in room, free wireless in lobby. Pool area - clean. Disliked: There was maybe 30 cars in the parking lot and this is a 94 room hotel. Yea think they would have given us room with a pool view, um Nope. No curb appeal. Looks recently taken over.

This place was beautiful for the price, pool area was nice, lobby was nice. The beds in the room were comfortable, the room was clean. The air conditioning was the worse apparently the air goes on only when you enter the room (we were told it was energy effiecient) but if there is no movement in the room it shuts off, so when you are sleeping the air shuts off. All night long it kept shutting off and we had to get up and move to make it go back on. The temperature starts off at 77 and only went down to 73 and when you are out in the hot sun all day you want it to be cooler in the room. They offered to move us to another room, but what good would that do if all the rooms are the same. The room only had a refridgerator no microwave. Would definately recommend this place in the cooler months.

Great place to stay away from all the amusement park traffic.Even better if you plan to visit Sea World which is right up the street.Stayed for a week.Slept great.Beds very comfortable.Room service was good.I would plan on staying at another Crowne Plaza in the future.

Front desk personnel in this hotel were so helpful. Checked in Tuesday, July 24th 2007 and they were a goldmine of info as to shopping centers, directions, etc., etc. ; and very courteous besides. Quiet room,clean, (carpet is nearing end of useful life), appliances all worked - in other words, what you would expect. Very good value.Very attractive corridors and layout. Looks more like a country club than a hotel. Will stay there again on next trip and hope to have time to use facilities such as pool.

Where should i start. I ordered room service which consisted of fries, buffalo wings and two budweiser's. $4 for a bud, come on. The food was disgusting, cold and salty. I would have been better going to a vending machine. They were three of us and we reserved two rooms we checked in together and presented two credit cards for some incompetent reason at check out they managed to charge one credit card and not the other. I am still waiting to get my money back and it has been five days. The hot tub and pool were both nice. Room service didn't manage to clean my room however until after 3 pm in the evening, not acceptable either. It was live dooms town. If you want to relax in absolute quiteness, it's the place to be. For 4th of July weekend i expected something there apart from the pool and hot tub to excite me. No wireless internet connection in the rooms. So you had to sit in that hard chair at the desk to use the internet. I prepared candlelit bath for my baby. Unfortunately we couldn't both fit in the both since i am 5,11.Needless to say the little bit of work i had to do was not done. WOuld i return there, yes if i were trying to get some sleep for one night and wanted nothing else from the staff there.

Hotel rooms and bath had bugs all over. Also, we did not get the King room that we were promised over the phone instead we got two double beds.

The crowne plaza king size bed was the best bed I ever slept in at a hotel. The room was spacious, the bathroom was o.k not great and the location was a little out of the way. It was very south on International blvd, might be inconvient during rush hour.

I enjoyed my experience. I was there just to relax and enjoy. It was perfectly located so that instead of paying another $40 to get back to the airport, I just walked up to the corner and hopped on the bus for $1.25 and I was at the airport. It was great sitting by the pool ordering food and drink. I could just sit there and play guitar and just relax. I read another review that had no microwave, but I had one. I will definatly go back when I go to actually enjoy the whole disney experience.
