Best out of all 7 hotels we stayed in on this trip!

I loved the fact that everything was clean. This was a first on our whole tour this time. The only comments or suggestions I would have is that the wait staff needs to be better versed in English, after all, they are working in a country that uses a fair amount, and having Russian or other wait people definately affected our ability to order food smoothly.
Also, the only reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 on three categories is because the service suffered because of the language barrier, the cleanliness was the best out of 7 (I might add, of which 6 were despicable) with the exception of the dust on the ceiling fixture in our room. The location I am only rating because we were on a bus tour and only (unfortunately)saw it in the evening, and again, early in the morning on our way out to the airport to return home....never got a chance to venture out!! and the Value, I can't honestly rate because the trip was booked through a package deal and I have no idea what the regular room rates were!
After bringing my mother to Ireland for the first time to celebrate her 80th birthday, I was quite dissapointed in ALL the other hotels the tour group had us in. Believe me, the wildlife is a problem in a lot of other places...not here though! By wildlife, I mean the more unpleasant insect and ratus type.
They no longer have smoking rooms, and the entire hotel was renovated in 1998 with updated fixtures (make it a point to check out the red crystal chandeliers).
All in all, after many trips to Ireland, if I had to stay in a public hotel, rather than the private accomodations I have been lucky enough to experience in the past, this would definately be the place I would rebook.
