Extended Stay America Salt Lake City-Sandy, Sandy

The staff were very friendly. My wife had to do Lasik surgery nearby, and they gave us a nice discount for our two-day stay. There was a small, one-time fee for the Wifi, and it was hassle-free and convenient for me. It was clean, they had bathroom soap, and all the towels needed. The nice, functional little kitchenette had the dishes and silverware for two. I thought it was very inexpensive for as nice as it was. I would stay here again.

My toilet was plugged for 3 days. I was told to plunge it myself. Manager finally came out at 10pm and stuck his hand down the toilet. Plumber was called in next day, got toilet water all over my room, and kitchen, when I went to the front desk to complain I was told that the staff had gone home and there was nothing they could do, when I requested disinfectant to clean it myself I was told they don't provide it, then I was finally given disinfectant and a small wash rag to clean the floor of the toilet water myself. I asked the night shift front desk attendant and the day shift front desk attendant the following morning, that my room be cleaned, they both assured me that it would be - it was not. They also do not provide, hair dryers, bar soap, soap dish, shampoo or conditioner, and the kitchen was poorly stocked, no dish soap, no cereal bowls. The dishes were chipped and old. The overall hotel is dirty and smells of cigarette smoke. The staff ignores the no smoking signs and is programed to reply "we don't provide that". The place is a filthy dump. I was refunded my stay, but would not opt to stay there if someone paid me. I'd rather tent it! At least I wouldn't have to clean someone elses toilet drippings. DO NOT STAY HERE.
