Harbour Plaza Chongqing, Chongqing

This hotel was awesome, I visited in April 2009 and it was great. The staff was helpful and the service was excellent. The restaurant service the best coffee and the fare was top shelf. Chongqing was a strange place for me, being American, but The Harbour Plaza topped my list.

I cannot thiink of anything I did not like. The restaurant was great, the employees are very polite, the place was clean as a whistle, the pool was perfect. I would recommend this to anyone.

the location is fine, except it is under renovation so it is inconvenient when check-in/out with bags. But the service left much to be desired. it is a hotel for tour groups, not particularly for business travelers.

I read the review of the previous guest and since I was in town, I tried staying with Hilton and Harbour Plaza. Surprisingly I found that Harbour Plaza is so much better than Hilton ! I will recommend to stay at Harbour Plaza anytime.

We stayed at this hotel in November 2004. All eight couples in our travel group complained about the lack of enough air conditioning in the hotel rooms. The a/c was nothing but a fan blowing out air about the same temperature as in the room already. The carpet in the hotel rooms were very dirty...my white socks would be black after walking in room for a few minutes. A person in the travel group said he was told the a/c filters were clogged from all of the air pollution in this city. Humidity was very high and I was sweating like a pig in our hotel room. It would be terrible staying here in the summer months!!! Hotel restuarant was fine. Attached multi-story upscale shopping mall was nice. Employees were friendly. However, I'd suggest staying at the Chongqing Hilton or Marriott. Everyone I know who has stayed their have had great experiences.
