Noise in the halls.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/27/05
My stay was for 5 nights. My first morning was a Saturday and the other guests seemed to have no concept of the noise they were making by letting their doors "slam shut" as they got up starting around 5 AM and leaving their rooms. The door on my room (and I assume the others as well) had a gap of at least an inch above the carpet allowing all noise to echo into my room. Also, the doors were metal which has no sound eliminating factor at all. This was a problem any time of the day or night when others entered or exited their rooms. Even with the carpet in the hall, the noise was distrubing to me. Voices and all conversation could also be heard whenever persons were in the hall as well. I realise there was no way for the facility to have prevented the noise as it would be expensive to have new higher pile carpet installed or all of the doors changed. For this reason, I would not pick this facility to stay at again in the future.
The facility has changed names and is now the Extended Stay Suites of Mateland, FL.
