Very tight comps
By Irwin F, 9/12/12
The hotel and the service are very good. However, for the sizeable player, this is not the place to go. They have apparently made a conscious corporate decision to minimize the comps that they will offer to good players. It is a classic case of extreme friendliness going in and lack of consideration when going out. I have a $30,000 credit line at the casino, play with average bets between $150 and $200 at the craps tables, and play for about 15 hours in a three day visit. At the end of the visit, when I request that some charges be comped, I am met with hostility and indifference. I recommend Caesars Palace or Wynn's, where players are treated with a good deal more respect and consideration.

Venetian-Dirty, Noisy Rooms, Prostitutes heaven
By denny d, 8/21/12
Big rooms, nothing else- No refrigerator, no glasses, no coffee maker, Noisy rooms, poor security, Hotel hounded by prostitutes all 24 hours in all common areas ----------- We (family) ruined our holidays because of following reasons. This hotel claims to be 5 star , but as per the surrounding, cleanliness it is not more than 3 star hotel as per international standard. Rooms are fairly large, but they are too noisy all 24 hours due to heavy generators and air conditioner plants right behind, there is not enough insulation to protect occupants from noise in rooms- which are facing other side of strip.( see picture of noise level) Rooms are dirty, there is no enough ventilation in washroom, Rest room Ventilation ducts are flooded with dust and also they are over aged, probably more than 25 years old design. ( see picture) The hotel has very poorly trained, rude and arrogant staff. Some of staff are racist they behave indifferent with whites and the others. I had to see reception over 10 times to change to better room, which was finally not changed, but similar request from white supremacist were taken up with smile. For any request or room service, it takes hours to get it done, that too you need to call few times. Room service is like calling call centers located outside city or outside country! The phone agents they hardly understand urgency of customer. I called dozens of times for basic services like Sugar , coffee or empty glasses, it took two hours on average, after nearly 5 calls. Towels on swimming pool & room are torn and dirty, Not hygienic, Wonder how Health department of USA approve this hotel to be 5 star !! Management or travel agents claims this as five star hotel, - but this hotel is missing basic things : Eg, there is no refrigerator which can be used, There is no pressing Iron , Iron board broken, Bed sheet too dirty, carpet with moisture. However hotel has lovely infra-structure, huge lobby but poor maintenance, Cleaning staff just update the reception through computer about cleaning, but in reality it is something else and manager believes what is in his computer and not willing to check things personally and in reality. On the name of continental breakfast they just give you Tea, coffee, or Soda, one bagel, one Donut etc. No juice , no fruit.. Out of our little less than week's stay , twice they had watermelon ( one of cheapest fruit in diminishing American economy), They expect you to pay more by upgrading breakfast. The best part rather worst part is that this hotel is not really good for family, as it is hounded by couple of 100 prostitutes /hookers ( too less for the hotel's claimed capacity of 7000 rooms !!) right after the breakfast. I was approached by couple of white call girls frequently with some interval, in common areas like restaurants, lobby, casino, swimming pool, even while I was walking with my wife or while playing in Casino. Informed security but they were least concerned. Their swimming pool and other pool Tao Beach are packed with non-hotel guests for extra money and it is full of prostitutes, young punk , rowdy crowd. There are time when some party girls at Tao beach ( it is filthy little swim pool, not real beach) entrance behave in cheap way by pulling of their tops and indulging in public indecency and nudity. ( Security guys are hand in glove with rogue elements and prostitutes) By All means avoid this hotel. This is not really worth a 3 star and not good for family. we ruined our holidays and wasted over couple of thousand dollar package. Steer clear from this hotel. The noise level is so high , even in night it is close to 60db and 70 db ( see the file pic of db meter) Rest room ventilation is so bad, never cleaned, it stinks.... I hate it. ( see picture.) - It was reported to manager but nothing was done. They just believe what is updated in their computer. Hell with customer, I got my money... This is the theme of this hotel.

Always a Pleasure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/21/12
We have been to Vegas too many times to count now, and at various times of year. I'm very surprised to hear some of the negative comments on the board, as we have always stayed at Venetian or Palazzo, and had a pleasurable experience. Here are some tips: (1) Want to party HARD? Then go during college breaks cuz it gets LOCO. (2) Want romance and quiet? Go in between peak holidays and avoid any college breaks. (3) Want to take your kids? Take care as to the population that will infiltrate the pool area-again, so avoid college spring breaks and such. This is a challenge as most school breaks are about the same time. Also, there are many pools to choose from. The quiet pool is over at the Palazzo/Venezia tower/right by Bouchon. The pool by TAO is party, party, party. So, it depends on what you are looking for. Okay, on service, be aware that busier times of the year, such as Christmas and New Years mean long waits on the phone lines for room service. Otherwise, service is more or less prompt. As for cleanliness, I guess we have had excellent housekeepers, because it is always left clean and fresh. Location? There is very easy access to Wynn/Bellagio/Ceasars/Treasure Island/Mirage/Paris/etc. You can easily walk, but it probably won't be much fun in high heels. Taxis are abundant and reasonable. Value? We go Grazie, and this has some nice perks over time. Also, you will get offers that are really awesome! Sometimes the cost is about a third of the regular room rate. I will also note that if you like to gamble, the atmosphere at the Venetian/Palazzo is one of the best with high ceilings, no smoke, and a very professional and helpful staff. Do you like to experience the talent of a mixologist? Try B & B bistro. Want a wonderful brunch? Try Bouchon in the morning on the patio. Want to work out? Wow, what a great gym with a rock climbing wall and yoga classes, etc.. Want to pamper yourself? The spa is totally awesome. I had an exceptional massage and facial, plus all the different therapeutic rooms were an added bonus. There are many great places to satay in Vegas, but this resort offers the above and beyond. You just have to play your cards right. :)

Old, dirty, falling apart
By UniqueBite, 12/25/11
This is our second stay in Venetian. We first stayed in 2004. We had the same expectation as in 2004, it was clean and new. Now it is old and dirty. We had the option of choosing between Bellagio and Venetian, we were ready to pay extra to stay in Venetian as it's suites are bigger than Bellagio rooms. - The sofas are old and you can clearly see the dirty patches on the sofa - The white comforter and bed sheets are old, they are no longer pure white, they blueish white - The door of the entertainment center came off (dangerous for kids), and the irony is that they didn't fix the door the next day - The door knobs came off - The worst room cleaning ever I have had in any hotel stay. They made the bed (OK), replaces the towel in the bathroom, there were several dirty glasses on the table didn't clean them, didn't clean the desk or the table, it was a mess before I left the room and didn't change. - If you stay in the Venezia tower, it is a headache to find your way back to your suite from the casino, and it is a long walk - poor architect - They have not fixed the walk way from parking lot to the casino. - Way too many elevator to change to go one from place to another

Anniversary Weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/11
I just left Vegas and ready to return to the Venetian already. The service, staff and restaurants all were great. I plan to make it the place to stay everytime I go to Vegas. The prices were a little high but you get what you pay for. I recommend eating at the Cut restaurant the food and service was great again a little expensive but it was worth the money celebrating our 23rd anniversary.

Beautiful Place to Stay--Thumbs UP!
By Mary, 9/29/11
We just returned home after a 5 night stay at the Venetian. We were very impressed overall. The resort is absolutely stunning, far nicer than we expected. The service was always polite and professional and we felt very welcome there. The concierge staff were very helpful with any questions that we had. We stayed in the standard room which was a small suite. The marble bathroom was impressive and luxurious and quite a good size. We had fantastic views. We were right across from the Mirage and had a great view of the erupting volcano. The resort was very clean and our room was very comfortable. The beds are extremely comfortable and luxurious with cotton sheets and duvets. We had a really nice sized living room that was comfortable. The Venetian has a great location in the middle of the strip and we enjoyed walking up and down the strip and seeing everything. Great location close to great shopping and many fantastic restaurants. Quite a beautiful resort-so big you could get lost but the signs are really good. The casino was very nice, again with very nice staff. We also liked that we had to show our room keys to get up to the rooms. we were happy with the security that was in place. We felt that we got very good value for the money we spent. We would highly recommend this resort!

What a wonderful trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/31/11
My wife and I spent 3.5 days in the Venetian and never once left the comfortable confines of this wonderful hotel/casino. The Venetian/Palazzo hotel has everything you can possibly want out of a romantic get away. Delmonico's was amazing and I would go back just for the dinner rolls! If you are looking for a hotel that has everything, The Venetian resort is the best!
