Great experience
By craig, 10/14/10
I typically do not write reviews, but after all of the negative reviews I read, I knew I needed to. Check-in was fine. Long line, but there were plenty of people working at the desk. We were with another couple and asked to be as close together as possible. They put us on the same floor and were very courteous. Our rooms were nice and clean. Several have mentioned how much in disrepair the rooms were in. We found a few blemishes, but I do not know what others expect. Our home has blemishes because it is lived in. Unreal expectation for some reviewers. Our only problem was when we got back to our room, we learned that our sinks were clogged. This was about 10pm. We called the front desk and were told that engineering would arrived shortly. I called again at 10:30pm and they apologized for the delay and credited us $30 for the inconvenience. Engineering arrived shortly after the second phone call. He seemed a little annoyed that he had to come, but later seemed sympathetic when he could not resolve the problem. Our options were deal with it for the night, allow him to fix it (he estimated a couple of hours) or change rooms. The smell was enough to cause us to move. We called the front desk and were told our keys would be delivered to our room. For the inconvenience we were moved form the 4th floor, 650 sq ft room to the 32nd floor 1500 sq ft room with a fabulous view. The rest of the trip was great. Clean room. Attentive staff. Very nice and would definitely go back.

Worst Lost & Found
By Whyme, 10/8/10
I have stayed at the Venetian many times and I never really had any problems with my stay untill one weekend I forget 3 specific items in the room. I just woke up late, quickly packed and forgot to take my pillow which was on the bed and my perfume and necklace I left near the sink in the bathroom. I realized this about 45mins drive out of Vegas. I didn't have time to go back so I called the hotel right away and spoke with the Lost & Found. I called them several times and was simplt told they would contact me if they found anything. Of course they never did so I called consistantly for about a month and nothing. I just got the run around over the phone. How can you miss something as big as a pillow. It was a tempur pedic pillow with my own case on it, kinda hard to mistake as their own. Anyways, I've never so pissed off at a 5 star hotel before. I have a new outlook on this place. It sucks! If you want good customer service, don't stay here.

Not what it used to be unfortunately
By Kimberly, 9/23/10
My husband and I were really looking forward to coming back to the Venetian after staying here for a convention last year (2009) and having a terrific time. This year we have been so disappointed (and we are so easy to please - I've never posted a negative comment in my life). Our suite is still lovely but everywhere we've eaten at the Venetian has been shockingly awful and even more shockingly over-priced. We keep hoping the next experience will be better because last year was so great, but we are just being let down one meal after another. They must have really fallen on hard times. We just finished our latest meal from Asian Noodle - our Szechuan beef noodles consisted of two enormous chunks of beef cartilage and fat - no meat whatsoever. Normally we would shrug this off as bad luck but this has been consistent with every meal we've had in the hotel since Sunday night. The prices here are high even for a decent meal, so to pay an arm-and-a-leg for inedible food and substandard service is so upsetting. I don't think we will ever come back sadly. We could get better food at a fast food restaurant - no exaggeration.

Will not go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/12/10
Upon check in we waited in long line to be told our wedding/honeymoon suite was not available maybe tomarrow (our wedding day) we could move, reservation?? let's just say the room was nice but not what we reserved. customer service was slow and sometimes no customer service. we didnt get any of the perks we were promised when we made the reservation not even the simple ones that everyone gets when you go to Las Vegas. We will go back to Vegas but not the Venetian, wedding was great and everything outside the hotel was wonderful we were treated great everywhere we went except our very own hotel. Had a great time at Ceasers,MGM, and all in between. going back next year but will not stay at the Venetian.

Great trip!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/9/10
My wife and I spent 5 days at the Venetian in July 2010. Second trip to Venetian and it was great again. Check-in was easy and quick. Room was clean and kept clean daily by considerate housekeeping staff. Spent three days at the pool complex, which was outstanding. Food at pool was good, quick and reasonably priced. Fitness center is top notch. We have been to LV 6+ times and have liked all resorts, but Venetian is the best. Great location to go anywhere on the strip. Casino is really fun the way it is laid out and it doesn' seem all that crowded even when it is. See the Jersey Boys! We both highly recommend The Venetian.

Disaster
By Gman, 8/9/10
it was way too big, long lines and very littel staff help. We did our wedding at there chappel. Got little to NO help from the wedding staff, for the dollars we spent. They nickeled and dimed us for everything. Even charged alot for internet service. I would tell folks to go someplace that won't treat you like your in there way,
