We had a terrible stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/09
When we booked our week at Harbour Lights for the week of March 20-27, 2009, we were not notified the clubhouse would be closed. The indoor and outdoor pools and the fitness center were also closed. We were told that the resort did not comply with new pool/drain regulations by the due date. This is the first resort we've ever stayed in where the pools, fitness center and game room were all closed. The staff at the resort was not apologetic. There is a charge for wireless internett usage. I requested that the resort waive the charge for us since we couldn't use any of their recreational facilities. We were told they didn't have the authority to waive the charge. The resort is also not handicap friendly. The 2 bedroom unit we stayed in was spacious and clean. That is the only part of our stay at Harbour Lights we liked. Also, we are use to staying at resorts where there are tennis and basketball courts and other outside activities for our teenage sons. There was nothing outdoors to do for any of us during our stay. Hopefully the resort will notify visitors in the future upon them booking a stay that the club house and pools are closed, unlike what happened with us!

Great at the right time of year...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/08
The condo was very nice. Plenty of room for two couples and an 8 mos old with toys, etc. Great to have kitchen so all food wasn't eating out. Time of year would have been great except towards the end of the vacation was the second bike week. Rooms got very loud and you could hear everything. Hard to sleep if you were not interested in being up until 2 or 3 in the morning. Would go back just not during bike week. Great location to highways to go to surrounding areas.

Never again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/04/08
Likes: It was clean. Dislikes: Size of unit. We stayed in a hotel type setup with a queen size bed. The room offered no comfort whatsoever. The size of the room...TINY!!! The room did not meet our expectations of a standard hotel room! As a matter of fact we checked out 2 days early (the room was already paid for with no refund) and went somewhere else! Never again will I consider staying there nor will I recommend anyone else to do so either! Parking was also and issue. Overall thoughts...YUCK!!!

Ok to stay!
By M, 04/11/08
Just left this resort 04/09/08 and here are my likes and dislikes. Likes: Rooms was very nice and the view of the intercoastal waterway was nice, Outdoor pools nice. Nice workout facility. Dislikes: You had to clean your living areas, wash your own towels, discard your trash outside, INTERNET not free. This was the worst of them all when you can go to Krystals and get FREE WiFi. Maintenance people blocked the bridge to the adult outdoor pool to stain the bridge, major inconvenience. Too far from the beach and shopping areas as well as resturants. Area looks deserted hopefully when Hard Rock Park opens it with help the atmosphere. Oh, you also have to pay to shoot pool and video games. Rooms have small TVs, no elevator.

NOT HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY AT ALL!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/22/08
my husband and i have owned since before this resort opened, when only blue prints and dirt. every year we have the same issue, PARKING NOT ENFORCED. my husband is handicapped, we dont park in handicapped parking places because as long as he can get around, he wants to leave them for those who are not so fortunate. every night we go out for dinner and then when we come back there is no where to park because all of the people who brought friends in a second car or family in a second car, are parking BOTH CARS at their unit when only one car per unit is clearly stated time and time again. Call the front desk, they wont enforce it, so her i am with my handicapped husband and three kids (who are most likely asleep) parking 3 or more buildings away and having to walk to our building and then up three flights of stairs! This is insulting, we try to be courteous to those who really need the handicapped spaces and all we ask for is ONE SPACE near(not in front, but just near our unit) and the front desk or managment wont even help us. they listen, then they let you go. you feel like you were allowed to throw your little fit and then laughed at after you left. I want to sell this property. It trades well so my husband says to keep it and trade the heck out of it. i dont care if we ever see Harbor Lights again!

Nice For Families
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/08
Service was excellent. Maintenance calls were dealt with promptly. Location is a bit out of the way but will be nice when Hard Rock Park opens. Internet is horrible.

dissapointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
i've been an owner for years with blue green. this was the worst place to go vacation.there were little notes stuck on the refrigerator, telling you to clean up after yourself.very little dishware. pots and pans were scraped up.rooms were big ,but bare ,with very little decorations that made you feel like you were at home ,or at a resort. little activities.bingo and bike riding was a couple of the activities they provided. the bikes seats were tore up.staff wasn't friendly at all.the hot tub had green algea.

Nice resort but going down
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/07
I am a Bluegreen owner and have been staying here for the last five years. The newer part of the complex is very nice, But the older units are being nrglected both by housekeeping and maintenance. The last unit had mold growing and roaches { Housekeeping } and broken tile and light fixtures { Maintenance } Overall this is still a great resort for now. PS: We stayed in a one bedroom deluxe unit.

Had a GREAT time
By tammy, 09/07/07
We had a great time at Harbor Lights this summer. We spent a week there. The pools were very clean. It is only a minute or two from the ocean. The game room and fitness facitlies are excellent the staff was always very helpful. I only experienced 2 problems while there. The internet service is not free as in their add. Although it is available in the main lobby if you dont mind someone waiting and reading over your shoulder. I did have roaches sitting on my patio with me at night on my deck. I asked that someone try to take care of these while I was there. I am not sure if they did or not. I never received a follow up call about these. The room inside was clean but with roaches at your door you are afraid to open it for very long. Overall I would go back, but would request a room change if my patio neighbors were to be seen again. Makes for an uncomfortable situation. Especially if your not an owner and you pay that much for a room.
