Make sure "JEN" the housekeeper is working first
By jennifer, 08/22/09
I stay at this hotel about once a month for the past 4-5 months. I also own my own business and I have my employees stay there and reccomend to my clients as well on a regular basis. At first the stay was great depending on which employees they have working. Which, I like to chat with the employees. However, this month my stay was horrible and also my employees called me and had bad experiences as well. In my room I had what looked like a dirty rag that the housekeeper left in my room. Also had someone elses trash still in the trash can. and the toliet and shower was completly dirty, the room smelled of marijuana. One of my employees told me they found the remote to the tv mixed in the sheets on a bed that was made and she had a don not disturb sign on door and the housekeeper came in while she wasn't in the room and took $10 that my employees left on top of the tv thatwas not for the housekeeper, and do not disturb means do not come in.!!!But let me tell you, this month was the FIRST time I had problems as well as some of my employees.MY other employees also complained to me about having dirty rooms.I'm sure if i complained, I would more than likey got a refund. But, I can tell you the reason why that place is dirty and I will give it another try on one condition.. I will only be staying there if "Jen" the housekeeper is working there. In the past months I had the same housekeeper cleaning my room everytime my employees or myself stayed there. Now, this young girl was always on point, friendly, smiling, I NEVER had any problems. My employees also loved her, we always had great conversations. Jen also was extremly helpfull to me and my employees. I've stayed in plently of hotels and let me tell you, I loved comming into Connecticut knowing I'd feel right at home. But.............. Now when I stayed I was dissapointed and I asked if "Jen" was working today, becasue this wasnt like her to have walk into my room in this type of conditon and I was extremly dissapointed when I was told she no longer works here. So, what I plan on doing is calling up the front desk before i book my company stay for Sept. because I need 17 rooms for 10 days straight, and asking if Jen is working because if she is not, I will be taking myself, my employees, and clients to another hotel. Also, if she is not working , I am calling every hotel in Windsor Locks and see if I can find her because I know my stay is in the best hands with her. So, to make a long story short call Bradley Hotel and see is Jen from housekeeping is working there or not before you make reservations so you wont be upset. Also if anyone knows if she is working in another hotel please post a response on here for me. And call Bradley Hotel and tell them to get Jen back. I have a big 10 day conference Sept. 17-Sept. 27 and will be needing 17 rooms total for my management team that I will be paying for, otherwise they WILL be losing alot of money from me.So Bradley Hotel, I hope Jen is back otherwise, someone else will be getting my business from now on.

Never Again
By Ken, 07/22/09
This place has potential, but really needs work. There was no "Continental Breakfeast" as advertised. The room was not cleaned well ... hair in the sheets and not vacumed well. The management is so desperate for business that they stoop very low to make money. In talking to staff they rarely have more that 10-12 rooms booked unless there is some sort of party/function going on. There was a Friday-Sunday "Rave" going on this past weekend. Kids, Drinking, Drugs and Loud music until 5AM or so. Cops showed up Saturday night. I found out that this place was busted for having "Swingers" Sex parties, with public nudity and sex acts in the bar. It is also a prefered location for prostitutes ... just check "Craigs List" under Adult Services or the Windsor Locks Police Department, whom we had a little Chat with at 2AM Sunday Morning.(This may actually be a plus form some of you.) The Clarion is about a mile away for roughly the same price and is a far better option.

Stay away
By Ellen D, 07/15/08
This place was a Howard Johnson's. It's under new management, which is very amateurish. Staff doesn't wear uniforms. Place is mostly deserted: restaurant and bar are closed. Pool was filthy when we arrived: hair floating on the water, used towels everywhere, flooded deck very slippery. Fitness center contains only machines not working and/or not plugged in. WATCH OUT *** Internet reservations don't get picked up by the hotel, so there was a line of dissatisfied people at the desk when we arrived. They assigned us a smoking room instead of nonsmoking that we ordered. Our ONE room key that they assigned (for 4 people) didn't work... you get the idea. Breakfast included instant coffee - no brewed. Many people didn't get breakfast at all because the staff puts it out hit or miss. Remote control for TV didn't work. Some women I spoke to felt unsafe because it's so empty and the rooms all have sliding glass doors that open to the front.
