Towne House Apart Suites, Harrisburg

I would like to thank the staff/management for making my living here so enjoyable. This must be the best building I have lived in in the last 30 years. I was away on business when my wife (for the first time) had to take care of all the arrangements by herself. The staff was there to guide her through the process very quickly. She wanted to surprise me with everything being moved in by the time I finished my business in AZ. Cable and amenities were all in place by the time I arrived. I feel the building is very accommodating with its Barbershop, Gym and restaurant. Even though there are other shops here, these are the essential ones to me. Yes, someone was teasing about older people living in the building, like me, 55 years young. But, there are a lot of those 'baby-boomers' and young people living here too, a nice, diverse environment. Plus, the location downtown is fantastic. I can get to wherever I need to go. If the bus (least expensive I have found) can't get me there, the highway system is very good. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a nice, comfortable, affordable apartment to live.

The managers will treat you as if you disturbed them. The place always stinks. There are roaches when i moved in. Elevators are either out of service or stink. The place accomodates a lot of old people and once in a while someone passes away and the place stinks as the apartment management will not clean the place. The parking gate malfunctions and has damaged many cars. gym is out of order most of the time. The manager Te** is completely hostile to all. while leaving the apartment, no matter how clean you leave it the management will keep all your deposit. Greedy Management...would do anything to save money! I am gonna quit living there as soon as my lease gets over. My recommendation...stay away.

Excellent location for meetings in State Capitol. Facility was clean, staff was very helpful. The only problem is that there is no longer a restaurant at the facility.

I stayed at the Town House Suites Hotel for a month while attending a training course held in nearby Mechanicsburg. The Hotel was about 12 minutes away from Wicks Educational Associates, with no morning traffic going out of the city. Other hotels in the area were at least 69$ per night, with a discount for long stay. Town House Suites ended up costing 33$ per night for the corporate apartment for the month. The room was clean and had a kitchen with dishes, pots, pans etc. It worked out very well for me. It's not a really fancy place, but more than adequate for a great price!

On the Down side: This is an old building with some old building problems. The windows in the suites are packing taped closed, for example. The entire guest area could use a fresh coat of paint and the carpets need to be replaced. Our last room (4th time staying here) had an inoperable AC unit which wasnt too bad because the stay was in March. On the UP side: This is a great convenient place to stay. It is close to downtown and the government buildings. It is within walking distance of many nice bars and eateries. We go to Harrisburg to compete in chili cookoffs held there so we VERY much appreciate a full kitchen. The full sized refrigerator and the dishwasher are definately reasons we come back. The staff is not bubbly nice, but they are fair and friendly. The restaurant is staffed by some real characters! We enjoyed our breakfast emmensely. Will we stay there again?? We most definately will!

I lived here for 6 months, there was always litter around the grounds, lazy doormen but friendly. The same huge pothole by the parking lot exit has been there the whole time, never fixed. The windows were awful in the winter, the fire department passed on a regular basis as did the police (with sirens on). Would I recommend? No. They are fairly reasonable and offer 3 and 6 month leases.

I thought this hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very nice. Atleast I can speak for the room that I stayed in. I had a great view. The full kitchen area and breakfast area was clean also a big plus when you want to stay in and relax.

Liked the room. Good for a working stay at the Capitol.

Very good value. Large rooms. Location near Capitol. Staff is friendly.Don't let the lobby put you off.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were not very up-to-date, but they were clean and comfortable. Overall, a good value for the money, but don't go there looking for a Luxury Hotel setting.
