Midwestern Hospitality Lacking Here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/10/11
From the poor customer service to the skimpy continental breakfast, our stay at what seemed like a clean, economical hotel was a horrible experience. While the hotel seems well-staffed, none of them were particularlly friendly. The night clerk was especially rude, barely looking up from under her ugly hair cut and her ball of knitting yarn to greet us. The morning muffins were small. The in-room coffee was a joke. I didn't feel like this was a "home away from home" and I heard other customers complain that their rooms weren't ready when they arrived 1 hour before check in, so don't try checking in early here, even by an hour. I am a professor in PR and marketing. Thank you Travel Lodge for giving me a good example of poor customer service to share with my students.
