Casino Aztar, Evansville

We ate at Temptations Buffet two days ago and Ellen the manager was rude. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the buffet. We have been here several times before in the past two years and we always loved it. This time we were very disappointed. There was a different manager before and she was very friendly and the place was clean. We will not be coming back!!!!!!

We have gone here for over a year almost every weekend .... VERY VERY TIGHT SLOTS... They do not treat there regulars right... But if your female and have a nice body and dress right you can hit here.. GET IT.

If you read all the reviews you will find that the place has gone down hill since it opened. I don't need to go into a lot of the things that this place lacks. People have done that before me. At one time my wife and I could go there and spend the day on as little as three hundred dollars. Now you may spend up to a hour on that. If you do go there take lots of money as you aren't going to win any.

If you want to mindlessly poke money into a slot machine and be surrounded by depressed and desparate people-this is the place for you. Or if you are looking for some free entertainment but no place to sit and enjoy it-this is the place for you. No fun is allowed and these folks wil gladly take your money.Thier Hoosiers Lounge that seats maybe 20 people is a joke.

The accommodations are very uncomfortable. The pillows and mattresses do not provide for a comfortable night's rest. If you stay more than one day, the beds are not made properly. The spread and sheet are just pulled up. They don't believe in tucking the sheets in. The slot payoffs are lousy to say the least. l've had better luck in Vegas. I've also noticed that when playing the slots; the payoffs do not register at all. If you hit the replay button too fast, you don't get your winnings. Be very careful!!!! The rewards program does not allow the individual to monitor his/her credits. It's one of the fewest casinoes that I've visited where your credits are not displayed on your machine. I also noted that if you encounter a malfunction on a machine, it's very difficult to find someone to assist in resolving the problem. I spent between a half and three quarters of an hour to get someone to help me on one occasion. The food is overpriced for what you get and the service is not always professional. The food is also prepared the way the cook wants too and not like you order. By the way if you like to eat cold food don't forget the hotel's buffet; especially for breakfast. It doesn't do a bit of good to complain since noone is interested or will listen to you. I have had the occasion to discuss some of these items with management personnel but I still haven't seen any improvement. My wife and I have decided that Tunica will be our next destination.

Casino Aztar is one of the best casinos I have ever been to! The people are wonderful! Everyone is fun and friendly! Not to mention professional! The table games experience is awesome. The slots are alot of fun as well! There is a bar on every level of the casino for easy drinking acess. Soft drink machines are located on every level and free! They aren't skimpy with the comps either! Love going to gamble! I'm not going to say I win every time but hey, that's why they call it a gamble. The area outside the boat is nice as well. They have a nice lounge with great entertainment! Two resteraunts also located close to the casino, if you're staying in the hotel you never have to go outside in the weather thanks to the sky walk. It isnt a large casino, but it's much more friendly than your bigger casinos. You don't have to play thousands of dollars to get treated like a human being. The town is small but there is plenty to do! All close to the casino! Within walking distance there are several nice lounges with live entertainment and even a Julians with games and bowling! It's a great area to visit! I love Casino Aztar!

The best part was leaving. Rude staff at the casino. Live dealers are S-L-O-W. Very unprofessional pit staff. No where near a Vegas casino nor worth the drive if you live far away. Save your time and money.

The positives were that it was very convenience to Kentucky and Tennessee.However its not like Vegas, tunica, or any other major casino resorts i've been to. There seem to be no loose slots and its nothing going on down there in Evansville,Indiana so just save your money and go to a nicer casino district.

I've stayed in this hotel twice. The first time was mediocre at best. Our last visit, February 18-19, 2008 was as bad of a hotel experience that I can remember. I can overlook a lot of things just as I did when I noticed change on the floor of the room when we first entered. Obviously the carpet hadn't been cleaned as well as it should have been (maybe s/he missed just that spot). I can overlook the internet not working even. But cleanliness is a big deal for me. The casino was filthy. Twice, I sat down at tables where people before me had left their dirty cups. Nobody offered to remove them. I trashed them myself. Ashes everywhere...grime and dirt in the cupholders. Nothing could have been worse than the sink though. It filled up with water and wouldn't drain. I had to resort to getting on my hands and knees, leaning over the tub to rinse my mouth after brushing my teeth. Had I been at the Red Carpet Inn in rural USA, I might expect this kind of experience. On the other hand, I shouldn't say that because it would be an insult to Red Carpet Inns.

we go to the casino on a very regular basis each overnight stay is a pleasant experience although we only live 45min away staying in house enables us to choose our playing times all staffing is friendly and courteous
