Microtel Inn Atlanta Airport, College Park

If you are looking for a place to have a one night stand or a quick knock off and amenities such as tv, heat and a door that lockd etc... dont matter then this is your place. #1 door latch plate missing from hotel room door so my door wasn't secure when closed. #2 front desk switch my room but here is the kicker they didn't have any more non-smoking singles and offered to put me in a smoking room single(told me it would be a price increase for double room) hmmm considering that the door was messed up i would think i would be given whatever non-smoking room they had available (i.e. upgrade) #3 So I take the smoking room-wow the hall smelled like marajuna and there was a roach in my room #4 so finally after this complaint they move me to the upgraded room(no charge) only for me to discover the heating unit didn't work (Atl curruntly under freeze advisory) oh and add insult to injury the freaken cable tv went out the exact message on the screen "Your service has been temporarily interrupted" I can now say this has been my worst experience as far as hotel stay goes. When I booked i said oh just gonna be in Atlanta two days and just needed a crash pad and the price was right so why bother with 3star or up the location is by the airport shouldn't that bad.... Think again this hotel is a true representation of YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! If you can deal with the complaints I posted and just need a crash pad then cool this is the place, but personally speaking when the Cable services has at a hotel is interrupted and it wasn't due to an area outage THAT'S JUST DOESN'T LOOK GOOD AT ALL FOR A PLACE OF BUSINESS!!!

I've stayed at Microtel before- in Anchorage, AK. Now, I'm very persnickety when it comes to hotels- I often find myself meticulously inspecting the chairs, curtains, bedsheets, etc to look for any stray hairs and dirt. If I find even one hair, it's an immediate turnoff. I've even had this nightmarish experience at luxury hotels like the Omni (where I found two hairs in the bathroom and one on the curtain.) .... That was the Omni. Microtel Inn, however, has always done a great job at keeping things clean! It's very affordable, and they have free continental breakfast. I've always liked Microtel- I even like the name! I'd definitely reccomend!

I stayed one night on the Park and Fly rate. One night room, 14 days parking. Check in was great, even though I got there fairly late (10pm). They were training a new attendant but everyone was very nice and it didn't take much longer than usual. The room was fine for a quick nap before flying out early the next day (I was only there about 6 hours). Didn't get my 4:30 am wake up call - got up with my cell phone alarm at 4 instead - when I asked about it at the desk she glances at the phone (not the printout of the phone log) and says I didn't answer. ummm - psychic much? The shuttle to the airport at 5am was punctual and the driver was very polite and efficient (he got a big tip). When I got back from california 2 weeks later - I called to ask for the shuttle to be sent so I could come pick up my car. The attendant kept repeating that she had no rooms. Ok, great for you - now can I come get my car? Finally she says the shuttle is already at the airport and it's the last one so I'd better hurry up. I get out there only to have the driver argue about taking me to the hotel because they're full. I'm again explaining that my car is there and I need to get it. Both employees were quite rude! Are the employees not aware that there is long term prepaid parking at the hotel? Obviously no one looked at the clipboard I registered my car on, because it clearly stated the date and time I would be returning.

Our room was clean - sheets, bathtub, and carpets. For an overnight stay, it was more than sufficient. Bed was comfortable and seemed relatively new. Breakfast was a laugh but hey, the coffee was brewing...... Will stay here again.

This is a great place to stay...what you see on the internet is the same that you see in person....the rooms are great. very clean...safe...and everything works! The front desk people are great as well. I recomend this hotel to everybody. It does not cost alot and you get star quality service.
