I didn't like anything the rooms were dirty moldy smelly the manager was no help at all had a smart mouth did not show any concern about our terrible night will never stay again will not recommend!!!!

PROS: In room microwave, fridge, vending machines in the hall, has a pool, GREAT location, free airport shuttly, free breakfast, complimentary computer by lobby CONS: Moldy rooms (we switched from a room with a plumbing problem where the bath was not draining and the water had wet the carpet. They tried to dry it with a dryer for two hours and tried spraying with air freshner to get rid of the moldy smell, but we switched rooms. The new room also smelled moldy), smelly rooms, not very clean (but also not very dirty), internet access at rooms notfunctioning (front desk cannot help you , they refer you to a toll free number where you get service from India), the breakfast contains few , dry items (not delicious), FREEZING pool (told us it was heated, but it isn't), charge $10-$12/night for a crib (We went to a nearby Wal Mart and bought a Pack and Play for $30 that we later took home with us). We paid WAY too much for this room. It's worth about $50/night. Don't pay more than that!

Would Not Stay Again

Bad Location. We stayed Pre Cruise 2 days. Staff at front desk was not helpful or nice at all. There are no resturants in the area except a very poor McDonalds. All of the hotels around us supplied a list of resturants and Free transportation to them. The rooms are very nice and clean but that is all I can say for the hotel.. Site said they were in the heart of things but they are not. You can stay in the heart of things for the same price and will not need a car to get around. Keep looking

Ok only if going to port or airport

The place was clean( seemed newly renovated).When we came back from cruise we stayed on for 3 days; probably not a good idea as it is far from most tourist places. The older night manager was pompous..you'd think that he owned the place instead of working there.

Ft. Lauderdale Beach is Great

Best Western provided a way to enjoy Ft. Lauderdale Beach and it was reasonably priced. Ft. Lauderdale Airport is nearby as is all the car rentals so you can get in and out. Check into the Best Western and get down to business. That is, relax. We like to get to the beach. Their is a gym right off of Las Olas Blvd that you can pay daily rates. Upstairs they have spinning in the shade and you are looking right across at why you're there: the Beach! On the street you can get all sorts of rentals; bikes, etc. You are right at where a St. Regis hotel 5 star is being built finished this year. Restaurants line this area, so a nice stroll allows you to take in the scenery and plan your next meal. Ft. Lauderdale has so well planned the beach area, particularly in the Las Olas area, I will continue to frequent this area year round.

Nice place to stay. We stayed here the night before our cruise. They provided transportation from the airport and to the ship. I would highly recommend!!
