Great Place!!

The room was clean and the staff was very nice. The room was really spacious. We loved our entire experience there. The kids really enjoyed the pool. It is located close to some stores that you could walk to if you enjoy shopping. We will definitely be going back there someday.

Enjoyable. Would stay again

The room was quite spacious and very comfortable. Very clean as well. We were a little disappointed when we arrived and found out we were on the first floor when we asked for an upper level. It actually ended up being no big deal when we found out our patio had a little walk way straight out to the pool. It turned out to be convenient. We had bought a shopping package along with our room and was a little distraught to find that none of the staff seemed to know what all our package was to include. Everything was eventually worked out, but we felt the issues we had could have been avoided had the staff been properly prepared. All and all, I would recommend, and would stay here again on a short stay.

Brown recluse in bed - no action taken

Our third evening at this hotel we pulled back the sheets of the bed we had slept in the previous two nights to discover a large brown spider. We immediately looked up images of brown recluse spiders online and were able to give a positive identification. When my fiance went down to the front desk he was told that no other rooms were available and they would not be able to fumigate the room until the next day. We were not offered any comps nor were ANY measures taken to ensure our safety. As a legal professional I was absolutely shocked that the hotel staff would be so brazenly negligent toward its guests. I will NEVER stay at a Marriott hotel again after this experience and strongly encourage everyone reading this to do the same!

perfect family hotel. we cant wait to go back

The only thing i dislike is that there is no indoor pool i like everything else there is even free internet and that is awesome! the spa is awesome and the family loved it!

Not worth the savings

It seems that the bad reviews never get posted. I wrote one as soon as we returned from our trip but never saw it posted here. The stay here was such a "let down" for me and my family. We had waited all winter for our first trip of the season. We chose this motel because of the cost. The Staff was very unfriendly, very unhelpful. Dont stay just to save a few bucks! Its not worth it!

Always a great place..

My husband and I stay her several times a year and find it to be even better than the time before! This hotel truly has the entire staff (maids included) on what great customer service is all about!! We had an AC issue and within 30 minutes of reporting it, we had a brand new unit!! Great job!! Gulf Shore's regulars! P.S. The beds are second to none! Great!

Clean but nothing special

We choose this holet because of the price. (The hotels right on the beach are VERY high priced.) This hotel was clean but nothing else seemed right. Our phone wouldn't work right, the A/C wasn't cooling good, the toilet backed up, hot tub wasn't even hot and no refrigerator in the room like marriott.com stayed. We have always stayed at Marriott Hotels but this one we will not choose again. I'd rather pay the extra on room rates and stay right on the beach. They was nothing special about this hotel.

It was ok

Where do I start... My airconditoner was not working. The filters were totally clogged up... the light in the bathroom didn't work and the cleaning lady tried to clean the room at 10 O'clock on check out day.... Other than that the jacuzzi tub was awesome and my company was even better...

Great place for family

After moving from a horrible hotel along the gulf, this place was heaven. Very clean and hotel staff was very courteous. Price was reasonable. Only stayed 1 night, but wished I had booked for more. The kids enjoyed the pool area. Location close to all the attractions.

First time at beach

After an eight hour drive my husband and I were very tired and we got our room pretty quickly. I was relived to see a room that was clean and awaiting our stay. We found that the Courtyard people were friendly and we did'nt want anyone coming into our room and they were very nice about that. They left us a note under our door that made our checkout very easy!! I also liked the fact that they had a hot tub inside and that you could'nt get inside the building without a card. You had to use it every time. I felt very safe!!
