Courtyard by Marriott Billy Graham, Charlotte

There was nothing to like about this hotel. This hotel had bugs in the hallway and the room my husband and I were first put in had flooded due to the rain that weekend. They did immediately move us to a different room, but the bathroom was giving us trouble because the "the piping in the entire building is old and needs to be replaced" says the maintenance man. He had to come and fix the tub 3 times for us on our 1 night stay. Also, the building smells of smoke...but the staff was friendly. Please look elsewhere before staying here.

Stayed at the hotel 7-18 thru 7-20 went to the front desk at 3:20 am found the staff sleeping in the back in full view after I finally woke Robert up he was not to pleasant to deal with, otherwise the hotel was fantastic.

We checked in late without a reservation and were told we got the last available room. When we got into our room I headed right for the shower while my husband tried to get the AC to work. In our room 5 minutes (still waiting for hot water) when it started to rumble - we were 20 yards from train tracks!! My husband called down to discuss checking out because our AC didn't work and we wouldn't be able to sleep thru the train when he was told we could be moved to a different room on the other side of the motel (apparently we were lied to about getting the last room available...) This room was poolside but the patio door was bolted shut so you couldn't walk straight out to the pool (not a big loss since I don't think the pool had been cleaned in weeks.) This time my husband took to the shower. He called me in to check out the small centipede that had made home in the tub. Needless to say we were happy to check out the next morning and will NOT be staying again! Plenty of hotels right near by that appear nicer and better-kept.

My name is Brian D. and I recently stayed there while working in the Charlotte area. The girls at the front desk where very helpful. They were updating thier computer system and I needed to check my e-mail (forgot my laptop). They let me go behind the counter and use the computer in the office. The only two issues I had were: 1. one of the two elevators was not working 2. the back parking lot was a little dark (the back parking lot just felt a little sketchy, so I parked up front!) I have never written one of these ratings, but I read one that was just completely wrong about this place, it is definately at least a 3 star hotel (clean, comftorable, friendly, convenient, etc. etc!) I am actually going back to Charlotte tomorrow and will be staying there again for four nites!

location, age - just not 3 star. 1 or 2 Star only and fine with that but definately not 3. Would not stay here again.

Everything was excellent. A relative of mine wasnt feeling well and wanted fruit and yougert at dinner time. I went down to the restaurant with this request and they fixed up a special order for me to take back to her room. You dont get service like that everywhere. The room, staff, food, location all were perfect for what we needed. Its convenient to the airport.

My son and I stayed My 16th and 17th for the races. I would stay there again. Everybody was helpful and the rooms were clean. We asked for a non smoking and thats what we got. Not even a hint of smoke. Great Job Staff. I don't know where those other people stayed but it was not this motel, it was by far the cleanest Motel I have stayed in for a while. The staff, especially the young front desk attendant, was very friendly and so accomadating to us during our entire stay. He gave us suggestions for dinner, cab rides, mall directions and so on. He was very cool and still very professional with my husband and I. The restaurants food was delicious and the bar was suppose to close at 12 midnite; however, when we returned from the game, the bar keeper allowed us to stay longer and he continued to serve the guests well pass 1am :) The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The only thing that I would add to make it perfect would be a thicker feather mattress cover, I would pay $10 more for my room if it had one on the king bed. I also brought my laptop along on this trip and the hoel had free internet service. Great hotel :)

This hotel is a run-down, dirty mess. The staff does not even smile, despite the wonderful buttons on their shirts. The restaurant is a disaster. They spent 20 minutes trying to find a server as I was the only person in the restaurant. Bugs in the room, filth, falling apart...just disgusting! Of course, there were no papers in the room for 'comments.'

THIS DEFINATELY IS THE HOME OF FRIENDLY SERVICE. ANY OTHER SHORTCOMINGS ARE FORGOTTEN WHEN YOU HAVE DEALINGS WITH ANY OF THE FRONT DESK OR RESTAURANT EMPLOYEES. I WAS THERE 5 DAYS AND NEVER ENCOUNTERED ANYTHING BUT WARM GREETINGS AND LOTS OF SMILES.
