Inn of the Plumed Serpent, Plaza de Toros

The word "hotel" or "B&B" does not do justice to this wonderful property. The owners of this Inn live in a house on the property which was occupied by D.H.Lawrence in the 1920's. The Inn's rooms are all individual non-adjoining private rooms spread around the property, some with kitchens. The gardens are simply beautiful. A gormet breakfast is included and is always wonderful and different each day. The Inn is located less than a block from the Malecon, or beach front, and just a couple of blocks from the main plaza. There is no better location in the city. The owners, Rob and Laurie Cracknell, spare no effort in looking after the guest's comfort, and are very interesting people hailing from Australia. Highly recommended. There are no accommodations to equal this in Chapala or Ajijic.
