A great jungle experience

I was there last February and went on my own for an adventure trip. It was a fascinating and unusual place to stay. The food was good and the accommodations interesting and luxuriously decorated. Unfortunately it poured with rain every day I was there (quite unusual, they said)and the river ran too high to do the rafting. The jungle gets quite dark when no sun shines, and there isn't a lot else to do.
I did do the zip line though and that was awesome-really great! I also did the night walk with a Mayan naturalist and we heard a jaguar growl. That was incredible.
I would recommend going to Jaguar Paw between March and June, when you're pretty sure the weather will be dry. Also, I would have an agent book a tour so that you stay here for two days, then move on to another part of the country. There are lots of things to do in Belize, but they are spread out.
