Comfy beds.....hopeless breakfast
By Kimberly, 04/19/09
The view was great and the beds & pillows were comfy. Room was clean. The complimentary breakfast was horrible compared to those we have had at other hotels. Old tasting pastries and some kind of egg bake that the dog would refuse. Friendly staff and great access to Canal Park.... Our suggestion is that if you stay there....choose to eat elsewhere.

Hilton Diamond Member lost for good!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/08
I have been to the Duluth location many times in the past and I have even had meetings at their location. This trip I had two nights booked and the next morning on the second day of my trip they said I didn't have a second night. After further review they found my second reservation and told me I had to change rooms. When I said that I really do not want to do that they said they would not accommodate me so as a result the other 2 associates in my party canceled their reservation and they let all three of us leave and we stayed at another hotel on Canal Parkway that did accommodate us and unfortunately we will never stay at Hampton Inn Duluth again or recommend it to any further associates. I was just astounded at the lack of concern for a good customer and a Hilton Diamond Member that travels at least 3 weeks out of the year. I was also very put off by the lack of business attire and professionalism of all parties concerned. This equates to approximately 30 room nights per year!!!!!

WELL !
By J, 06/14/07
I am a Hilton Honors member and I just stayed once before there last yr. I came back several times and stayed next door. No vacancies during the summer , so I booked June 8 - 11 2007. I was very suprised when the 2nd day when I got back to the room to turn in for the nite. I pulled the comforter back and the sheet wasnt pulled up at all it was still at the bottom of the bed and they had just threw over the comforter to make it look made. the next day I ask for the sheets to be changed and NO they didnt do that either. Whats up !

Great location - walking distance to all Canal Park attractions. Friendly, very professional staff. Large lobby and lakeside room for lounging. Robust wireless internet access everywhere. Outstanding free breakfast. Ample parking.

Good Canal Park Experience
By MarkR, 06/03/06
The hotel is in an excellent location. You can enjoy Canal Park and venture out to many other areas. We explored Jay Cook State Park and Split Rock while in town.

Picturesque Views of Superior
By Brewdaddy, 09/24/05
The lake view rooms and breakfast area are simply amazing. If you're going to Duluth, you have to stay in Canal Park. The Hampton beats the others with value and expected Hilton quality.

So great!
By Matthew D, 05/16/05
The hotel was much, much better than I expected. Staff was efficient and helpful. The property itself was very, very clean and up to date. A breakfast is served every morning and provided lots of options even for the picky eater plus juice and milk. Computer rental was available for a small amount of money witch I though was a really good deal(like 5 or 10 dollars). The location is ideal for Duluth. It's in Canal Park where there is plenty of places to shop and eat. The tour boats, bike rentals and aquarium are within blocks. Also, it is a quick walk to downtown Duluth. So, with a great location this clean and enjoyable hotels really does stand out. I will stay here on my trips to Duluth.
