Much Better Than The Reviews!
By jaymie k, 5/13/08
Just returned last night (May 12, 2008) from spending five great days in New Orleans and I must say that it was Wonderful! I was so put off by alot of the reviews I read online as well as in some books I came across and for anyone reading this - please believe me when I say that it was great! The hotel we stayed in had only a 3 star rating and I as well as my husband would clearly give it no less than a 4 star. The room or really shall I say suite was great, size, location and amenities. Full kitchen, separate bedroom, dining area, work area and living room. It was clean, friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Southern style for sure with grits, eggs, belgian waffles, sausage gravy and much more. The hotel was located in the CBD/Warehouse District but was very close to just about everything. Loved the street cars and all the different districts to visits, view, photograph and explore. The people was pretty friendly and I must say seeing how I have traveled extensively around the globe, I was quite please. We came home full, happy, eager to share the tales and willing to return. A must go to place at least once in your life!

Not great
By GGZ, 1/24/07
Cons- Poor breakfast and Dinner. Internet in rooms is horrible. Dial up is faster half of the time. TV service was very poor. Half the channels where snowy. To close to main city streets. All you hear at night is police cars and ambulances. Some rooms are so far away from everything you have to walk for 5 minutes. Hotel used to be a warehouse. No parking, pay 17$ a day to park in there lot or 20$ for valet. Very few street side parking areas Pros Close to nightlife attractions. Front desk staff is polite No problems with maids

Poor Service
By BREYEDRN, 5/26/05
It was close to the conference center but not to anything else causing alot of hiking. Service poor. Never had fresh towels at pool. Pool wall was dirty. Breakfast provided practically the same every day (Think they had stock in sausage). The dinners at night never had enough food for everyone running out early. The staff were less than friendly. Especially the kitchen staff appearing to be put out by serving you or helping you with the waffle maker. Televisions did not have all the same channels in every room in suite. Quality was poor, very snowy (except their channel of course to purchase movies) Internet connection good in gatehouse but not in room.

Love that Marriott
By katiem, 5/19/05
Thw service at the Marriott was outstanding. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and tried to make us as comfortable as possible. We especially enjoyed the view from our room. I would highly recommend the Marriott to all of my friends and family because I know that you will give them the same service as you gave me.
