Broadway Bread and Breakfst Inn, New York

Being a student traveler I don't have the money or time to ride subways all the time and spend huge wads of cash on New York Hotels. This place had a wonderful location, only hlaf a block from times square and a block form the Eugene On'eil where I saw Spring Awaekning! Everyone who works there is eager to help and the place has such a laid back jazzy atmosphere. I would definately reccomend it to any NYC traveler. P.S. I had a terrific veiw of the city because my room was right on the corner. P.P.S. They offer great discount on most NY shows!

Broadway Inn is my "home away from home" when I visit New York City. The staff is so good that it rivals the best in 4-star hotels. I remember meeting and speaking at length to a Broadway actor at a nearby restaurant. I mentioned this to a staff member upon my return. Shortly after, the actor's Googled resume was delivered to my room, without my even asking. Now that's service! The lobby is charming, with brick walls, oriental carpets and bookcases filled with books on the theatre, ballet and more. Soft classical and jazz music provide a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The continental breakfast is excellent, with rich pastries, juice, tea and wonderful coffee. The rooms are small (this is New York City, after all) but nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The Broadway Inn is one of the main reasons that New York City my favorite city.

great for families who want the convenience of staying in the heart of Times Square and Broadway. our room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast spread was always overflowing!

For $285 (plus tax) per night, the Broadway Inn put me up in a small room with a queen bed and few amenities: uncomfortable mattress; cheap bedding; tiny TV; noisy window A/C unit; no conditioner in shower; no functioning alarm clock. The atmosphere of the place is best described my thought when I first walked in: "I wonder what used to be in here when Times Square was seedier ..." The location is good if you want to be right near Times Square. However, the block of 46th Street that the hotel is on is charmless and loud at night (not to mention the noise from the Square itself). The hotel is only 4 stories, so escaping street noise is impossible.

The Broadway Inn is an absolutely wonderfull choice for those who expect cleanliness and friendliness from a hotel. Our room was comfortable and spotless, the staff was pleasant, the location and price cannot be beat. I have always stayed at a large hotel in Midtown, but I tried the Inn after reading about it in Frommer's. I've been converted- I'm a customer for life!

Our suite at Broadway Inn was immaculate and comfortable and met our family's needs. The service was super and the location, which was next to Times Square, was superb. The Broadway Inn, which was cool, quiet and welcoming, became our oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Looking forward to returning to the Broadway Inn on our next trip to NYC.

I've found that it's really hard to find a great hotel in the city that's affordable, and clean. After staying in a 450+ a night hotel in midtown my sister and I decided we needed to be closer to the night life, and found the Broadway inn. This place is AMAZING! It's clean and right in the middle of the action! It's two seconds from every theater and right smack in the middle of time square! The service is unbeatable, the front desk is happy and helpful no matter the hour of the night. The Broadway inn is a small hotel so they know every guest, and they even remember if you have special needs! They have free internet in the lobby which is incredibly convenient to use while you are eating their delicious free breakfast. They also have special deals with the neighboring restaurant, last summer my mother and I ate for 9.99 each, and this was a 4 course meal at an extravagant restaurant (you can hardly get a pizza and a soda for that in time square)! I go to Manhattan at least twice a year and I'll never stay in another hotel ever again!
