Great hotel
By Klara, 8/14/09
The hotel staff were kind and helpful. The room was cozy (small) and well designed. We were in the room for about 5 minutes when one of the staff rang making sure the room was what we were expecting and gave an extension to call if we needed anything. There was a TV and video game controller/games for the kids and kids at heart. The alarm clock had the capability of docking your ipod. It had a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, ironing board w/iron and a blow dryer. The hotel didn't have central air, but I was there in the middle of August and the window unit had to be switched of in the middle of the night because it was to cold. In the morning, we had a free breakfast.(served from 6:30 - 9:30 am) There were a couple different cereals, yogurt, fresh fruits, bagels, english muffins, milk, juice, coffee and teas, bacon, sausage, eggs and batter for you to make fresh waffles with strawberry and whipped cream and or syrup. The staff was very helpful when we wanted to know how to get to a specific address and updated on the local events. I would recommend it to others and plan on staying again in the near future.

Okay but not a good value.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/28/09
Traveling from Florida to Coronado, CA.. It was adequate for our needs but overpriced. The pool and fitness areas were not open during our visit. It's more of a party hotel than a family hotel.

good place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/07
Very close to the bars and stadium, walked to stadium and mall. Overall worth it to pay 150.00 which would end up being higher for a taxi to and from hotel to bars and eateries...

Hated it
The room was overpriced and poorly appointed. The sheets were thin and of poor quality. The staff was rude and we had to pay to park. I was told that I had to move the car by 8 am b/c they were paving. I have two kids so that was a hassle and I ended up getting a parking ticket and they did not even start paving until 10 am. Yet they still charged me to park. Did I mention, that I think I brought home bed bag. Never again.

Greatest Hotel Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/8/07
Ive been in a few hotels in my time for a few late nighters with the mistress but I have to tell you, this hotel is by far the best for a one night stand. The staff was excellent and very, very understanding. And the people who vacant the hotel were nice and very open. Even though we were warned about noise complaints for the first hour, I still enjoyed this hotel. Great Price, Great People, Great Fun!!!

Beware!
By KimberlyV, 6/28/06
My fiance and I booked a room for one night since we were attending a concert nearby. The location was a huge deciding factor for us. We were grateful we were allowed to check in early; since it was so hot and humid outside we were looking forward to relaxing in our cool room. First off, Comfort Inn charges you $14 for parking, once that lot is full you are on your own. The room was small but nicely furnished and decorated. HOWEVER, this hotel does not have central AC, so we relied on a window cooler. It was hotter in the room than it was outside. When we had the cooler on for an hour and there was no change in the room temperature, I called down to the front desk. I explained to the lady that I was unsure if I was working the cooler properly or if it was broken. Her reply was, "If it's blowing out air it's working." I told her it was blowing out air but not cold air, and she offered no help and repeated her above statement. We left and came back hours later, to find our room as warm as when we left (this was at 1 a.m.) We attempted to sleep but at 3 a.m. finally had to get up to take a cold shower, since it was so warm we were feeling sick. We left in the morning with 3 hours sleep, and a very unpleasant experience. I would not stay here again-ever! Though the location was nice and they offer breakfast in the morning, I would pay the extra money elsewhere for my comfort.

I would stay again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/15/06
This hotel was great. It was affordable and in a great location. The room was filled with surprising little amenities such as a mini fridge, microwave and a comfy comforter (unlike most hotels). The bed was very comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful. My only complaint would be the street noise. I will definetly come back!

Well worth your money
By Amy, 2/6/06
It was better than I had expected, the room was super clean and comfortable. The only negative I have to say is the room we had faced the street which was noisy. Would definitely go back, thanks.

Good location - that's it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/05
If you're going to Petco Park, this is an ideal place to stay for proximity only - but be warned. The hotel does not have sufficient on-site parking so if you don't get a space (for which apparently you have to get there a few days before your reservation), you will be made to park, for the same rate, at an open overflow lot, right on the street, a block away. If you get a room in the front of the hotel, you'll hear every single noise, voice and car on the street below you (even from the top floor) until very late into the evening. And half your bathroom (i.e. the sink) is right next to your bed. The showerheads are nice, however -- if that's what you're going for.
