Hampton Inn South Hill, South Hill

I have stayed at this hotel each time I visted South Hill, Va I was always pleased with the hotel and it's staff. Upon my last vist on 6/19/4 the manager or owner Mrugesh Thanawala was in town. I had 6 rooms booked under my name and when I arrived at 3:30 I was advised all the rooms were not ready. The check in time was at 2pm Mr. Thanawala said they had a large group that checked out late so the rooms were still being cleaned. I advised Mr. Thanawala that since our rooms were not ready and it is 3:30 would he give us additional time in the am. He became very rude told the clerk not to assist my group to assit the next customer. I had checked in and I had my key to my suite, I asked him what he was going to do about the other rooms in my party we had to go to a function, he ignored us, we again tried to s/w him he said I do not have any rooms for you all I said that is fine credit my card back and I will go next door to another hotel. The clerk at the desk was so upset her name is Sandra when the manager walked away she said "I wish I had a gun I would shoot my self" I told her she did nothing wrong she had been extremely courteous It was the manager who had a problem. We checked out and went next door and checked into the Holiday Inn and was told by the clerk that they get customers all the time that come over to check in after they have had problems with the same person.
