Rotting Trees that will fall on you
By Wayne, 11/03/09
Beware. I was tenting here when my whole family was almost killed by a gaint cottonwood that came crashing down within a few feet of my tent. The staff told me,"It was an act of God and that it was not their fault." Upon closer examination the tree was completly rotted out and should have been cut down a long time ago. I started talked to the groundskeeping and he reluctantly informed me that the owners new about the trees lack of integrity in the park and he also added, "that it was only the cottonwoods and the insects that were hollowing it out left a void for it to fill with water which rotted and made the tree to heavy to support its own weight. After that I noticed that half the treees in the park are already propped up with telephone polls. Its not an act of God when you know that the trees are suspect and you have only been lucky that no one has known that you have known about these issues. Apart from the trees the place reaks of skunks and the management is rude at best.

The Worst Vacation Ever
By sleepneat, 11/03/09
From the moment we arrived I was overwhelmed with the smell of skunk, later that was trumped by the smell of sewer which I was forced to smell as my kids played at the playground directly across from the sewage plant. The staff was incredibly rude and indifferent. I saw a large balding lady attack a car, hitting it and screaming that they were driving to fast. They could not have been going more than 5 miles per hour, the driver didnt even stop and kept driving. I do not blame them since I was afraid and I was a mere bystander. The pool was frigid even though they advertise that it is heated. There is no cable or phone service and the wifi is basically no existent. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Travelers BEWARE!!! You are better of staying in camp verde if Rancho Sedona is booked. There is a reason that they almost always have availability even though it is a membership park. A severly dissatisfied customer

What a gem! We LOVED it. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful and polite. Early morning at the 10 ft swimming hole was blissfull...Mike and Jill

Our favorite place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/09
We visit Lo Lo Mai several times a year and consider it our place to get away and relax with our 3 dogs. The management are very accomodating to us and help with our set up and minor maintenance issues. The owners continually work to upgrade and update the facilities. Everything is clean and well maintained. The setting beautiful with a river running through it and woods to explore and walk. We recommend it to everyone we know with an RV or anyone just wanting to get away to a small cottage in the north country.

Great Place To Stay!
By Ittybritkitty, 06/15/09
If you really like camping, you will love this place. We have stayed there a couple of times. This weekend we stayed at the Manzanita campground near Slide Rock (overpriced, cramped and the manager was very rude). You get more for your money at Lo Lo Mai. It is very beautiful, especially around November when the leaves turn. My favorite part of the trip here is to watch the racoons, skunks and javelinas each night that come out to feed. Nice to have flushing toilets and a mini store onsite. Staff are pretty friendly too.

MOST EXCELLENT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/09
My husband and I go to Lolo Mai several times a year. We used to rent a small cabin until we got our own T.T. I call it "Heaven On Earth". New, updated, very clean bathrooms. Wonderful staff, wonderful scenery, wonderfully QUIET! If you are looking to watch T.V. or such things, maybe you should stay in a hotel...this is a campground!

WOW !! Thank you Lo Lo Mai !!
By Maria, 04/15/08
My family and I just returned from our Sedona vacation and thanks to Lo Lo Mai, a near disaster was averted and actually turned out better than ever expected! After traveling from Williams, Arizona in our RV with our 3 boys, ages 9, 7 & 2, we pulled into Rancho Sedona and were told that "we" made a reservation mistake and they had not reserved us a spot on the day we arrived. Thank God for Lo Lo Mai, they welcomed us and gave us a choice of several spots. We chose the spot closest to the play area and we were never happier! The staff was friendly and accomodating and the surroundings are exceptionally beautiful. Our children were able to feed the ducks, get chased by the goose and see a beaver, skunks and racoons up close! We spent the afternoon by the river finding Sedona rocks for souvenirs and just being "family" together removed from the rush and congestion of Sedona. There was no cell phones or television and we didn't seem to notice at all. This is camping at it's finest! Thank you Lo Lo Mai !! The Nunez Family Pasadena, CA

Fun! Camping with amenities!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/08
We visit every year with our kids. We like to be outdoors but camping with children can be challenging, so we get the cabins. The bathrooms are fine, better than any campground I've been to. The cabins are affordable and rustic in a beautiful setting, but not for those who need pampering. I don't know about the RV hookups, we don't have one. We have a lot of fun and the dogs love it. There's plenty to do, kind of like being at summer camp!

Horrible management ruins stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/07
Dirty, rundown, roach infested + rude management = don’t waste your money and ruin your trip. Check other review sites and it appears two memebers of management are complete jerks to patrons. Unfortunately, we found this out the hard way after paying the non-refundable fee.

What a dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/07
Mosquito infested, swampy and very primitive. Bathrooms are clean but so old they remind me of the communinal bathhouses of the 1950's. Skunks everywhere and our dog got sprayed. Only 30 amp electrical service and many sites have no sewer hookup. Don't even think about finding a space for your 36 foot or longer motor coach. Pool is old and has much damage. Spa smells like Tidy Bowl. Very poor value and poor occomodations.
